after playing this game i went outside and took a blurry picture of a bird got really hot in my la weather and went back inside. my life truly has been changed i will cherish that bird photo forever.
One of my biggest problems about cozy games is most of it emulates work and feels like one. I understand there is an audience for that but i'm not part of that. Luckily if you're in the same boat as me, this game is not that. This game is so relaxing and charming. The objectives are not that wild but puzzles are not super easy either. The mixture of challenge, interesting aspects and right gameplay loop is great. you cannot get enough of this game. You can also get all the achievements in a few hours. The only thing that keeps this game from being perfect are the camera controls. It is slightly frustrating sometimes. This game feels like a vacation without all those hassle. Wonderful gaming experience. I'm looking forward to the sequel. A must have for any cozy games fans out there!
Absolutely phenomenal. Wonderfully paced 3D platformer (very similar to Scribblenauts in terms of vibes) with an incredible amount of charm, a lovely pace of progression and, to top it all off, a free post-story update area that contains easily another hour-90 minutes of content. Getting the 100% for this game was an absolute joy and this is happily something I'd play again. 10/10
TOEM is a unique cozy game where you explore and take photographs to help various charming characters. Its art direction is cute and fits into the cozy and relaxing atmosphere of the world. The soundtrack is nice and gameplay is simple. Exploring and taking photographs are the main aspect of the game. The world is charming and encourages exploration, making the mechanic of taking photographs refreshing with each region.
TOEM is a game entirely focused on using a camera to explore a black-and-white world, with exploration being its main focus. As someone who loves photography, I really enjoyed it, and it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Very fun, reminds me a lot of Scribblenauts, the game, characters and stye is all very silly and cute and easy to understand
Super cute and cozy game! Been eyeing this one for a few years and finally got it when it had a huge sale. I loved exploring the world of TOEM and meeting all the interesting, quirky characters all with their own little personalities and problems. The base mechanics were pretty straightforward however I liked how this game pushed you to think outside of the box to solve certain problems. You can tell the devs rlly put effort and love into this little piece. Ty for the cute experience!
A black-and-white world built around photography is a refreshing idea, and the hand-drawn art style gives everything so much charm. It is filled with creative puzzles that reward curiosity rather than obvious solutions. More than once, some random idea I had actually turned out to be exactly what the game wanted me to do, and those moments were incredibly satisfying. The game is incredibly relaxing. You're never rushed from objective to objective. Instead, you're free to wander around, explore at your own pace, and tackle whichever quests catch your attention first. I also wasn't expecting the game to have this much content. Every new area introduces fresh mechanics and delightful interactions, making the world feel far richer than I had imagined. It's one of those cozy games that quietly stays with you long after the credits roll. 10/10.
TOEM (however it is pronounced) is the true definition of the cozy game genre. There are not that many good games I've played that induce such a little stress and frustration as this wonderful artsy game. The game is full of good relaxing music and you get to decide what you want to hear when you want to hear it in a few levels with different biomes. There was even a free DLC with lots of funny mechanics and secrets to discover. The monochrome coloring is very unique and the characters are a combination of funny, quirky and adorable. I also like the To-Do list kind of missions and the way you can reread them pretty fast. The camera mechanics and combination between birds eye view and first person perspective are really unique and fit into the game very well. However there never really are games without flaws, so here are the few things that I didn't enjoy that much. All of them are related to the way the game is hiding important information from you like the fact that the quest steps for the ghost in the first house, the guy interested in monsters or the pictures with the story of the mountain are separated between different chapters. Much of the time I've played I was walking around just to discover nothing and had to get external help. I would also like to choose when I want to finish the game. However this is just pure wholesomeness and I enjoyed playing it in the hot summer. I'm looking forward to TOEM 2. Thanks for reading <3
