Very fun anime souls, not without its flaws but overall a great time if you are into the souls genre.
This souls-like is mid, and in this crowded genre I would rather recommend something else. I played the whole game with a single build, and didn't feel motivated or incentivized to switch things up. Difficulty was also mid. * The counter/parry is bound to two keys (instead of a single key press). And you can only have either party or block equipped. So I just found myself using the shield the whole time. * One of the bosses bugged on me, and just died (the fight with the two sister bladers towards the end) * The story was interesting and a bit convoluted. It tries "too hard" to be "deep". Its OK. It also wasn't too challenging, so towards the end I just wanted to get it over with. Unlike Khazan or Lies of Pi... I didn't feel excited to start Ng+ or even du the dlc. Just a mid game.

Highly recommend if you enjoy Dark Souls 1 but "Lite" version, and anime style. One of he best parts of this game is enemy variety, almost every new region you explore should have atleast 1 new type, an enhanced type of previous enemy with new moveset, or a reused boss as a normal enemy now. Also each new enemy has different interesting mechanics, like one of them hiding in a hard to reach place, while they annoy you with ranged aoe attacks throughout hte area, kill them once and they won't respawn again. The boss and it's difficulties is nice too, perfectly in line with DS1, not too hard but challenging enough. There are secret bosses behind hidden areas, behind certain quests, or only appears at certain ending of the game. The other great thing is the level design, kinda interconnected. There are plenty of areas that seems inaccesible until you either progress the game too far, or until you find a hidden area really far into the game. Simply put, it makes you go "Oooooh, so that's how you reach there!" or "Wait, I'm back here???". The story is kinda cryptic but interesting enough. Npc quests, unlike a typical Souls-Like, is not hard to figure out. Getting different endings can be done blindly without a guide, as the requirements isn't ridiculous or too random. Weapon types is ok, you have those quick dual swords, slow heavy weapons or katana. Kinda few in numbers. I never tried magic, so I can't comment much on it. I never used magics in a Souls-Like, except Elden Ring. But I will say, it's kinda lacking. Like I need a magic that can help get rid of some debuff like poison, without having to use items. Customizations is not part of this game, even though you can still change her headset and clothes. When it comes to skills, there's only 4 types and each completely changes your playstyle. Like a Parry focused like DS1, Shield only, Berserker type where you damage yourself to enhance your damage, or a Perfect Dodge playstyle that damages enemy everytime you perfectly dodged their attacks. This game does have a new mechanic, called sync rate maybe, which is honestly not a difficult thing to understand. Infact, you can pretend that mechanic doesn't exist and the game still works, it's just that some playstyle requires it. I prefer not to explain the mechanic here, let the game do it for you. This game has no Multiplayer.
