Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Its a downgrade in comparison to the previous total war releases for sure... I would rather play Attila or even Britannia than this. Idk why but they stripped down some features from previous titles. Including there is no sea battles, and it feels constantly like i am playing the same battlefields over and over again, just boring in comparison to other total war titles. Sure i will keep playing for the achievements but... Honestly i recommend u to buy a previous total war title rather than this. Update... 109 hours later, it took me this long to hunt every single last one of the argos bastards down, jus to achieve the total war victory... NO WAY IN HELL, will i try to get the homeric victory which would require me to turn against both of my allies who were now number 1 in military strength, and number 3, me being number 2, considering it took 100+ hours to destroy 1 strong factions every settlement, the map is WAY too big to care about this achievement. IM DONE! THX!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 16 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly, this game was right up my street, I love Total War, I love strategy games and I love both the greek mythos and the true greek history including their military aspect and their rich political heritage. That being said, somehow I haven't managed to finish an entire campaign, I've tried real hard but I just can't bring myself to keep playing it. I don't even know how to describe it, it just feels hollow compared to some of their other more built up titles. The UI perhaps is something to do with it, maybe the colouring I see others complaining about just makes everything feel overwhelmingly samey and requiring effort to deal with the basic systems that would probably become second nature if I could bring myself to play this game consistently enough to get there, but there's got to be something else... This game could have been great but I feel like as with so many other CA titles from the last half decade, it was just rushed and half-arsed with no long-term planning and quickly became expensive abandonware with no real vision for the game. I've had this game for ages but only just decided to leave my review just in case CA remembers this game existed someday when looking for how to pick up the pieces and tracing back where things started going wrong.
STEEP learning curve, not explained well in the tutorial. I shouldnt have to read a whole wiki and advice articles to just have an idea how to play
Total War Saga: Troy feels like an interesting experiment that never quite finds its footing. It borrows the mythic grandeur of the Trojan War and dresses it in Creative Assembly’s usual mix of strategy and spectacle, but the result feels oddly restrained. The Mythological mode (which is what I mainly played) adds flavor with its special mythological units and divine interventions, but it can’t disguise how streamlined the mechanics are. The factions just lack the deep personality and complexity of the mainline Total War titles. Battles, while still visually awesome, rarely felt as tactical or weighty as they should and seem to be missing a special... something. That said, there’s still a certain charm to it; the visuals are good, the game has a creative, stylistic approach in many aspects, the mythic overtones lend it some atmosphere, and it can be fun in short bursts but in the long run, it feels hollow compared to the depth of the other games. The game isn’t bad, it’s just... fine. Fine enough for me to recommend it at least, because what it does do isn't entirely awful, it just... isn't what we normally expect out of this series I guess is the best way to put it. I don't see myself replaying it, that's for sure. If you are curious of the title, I'd suggest doing your research first as I'd imagine this one would be a more niche of an experience than the other games in the series.
game was never finished so many finicky bugs in the campaign
I am aware that most of the players don't like this game as much as the other ones in the Total War series but personally this one is my favorite of all the games in the franchise, it still has some small bugs but it's not a big deal. Best game overall
I played custom battles mostly which I enjoyed a lot. It's nice that horses are playing a smaller role (just few chariots). Very nice graphics and solid units. One of the best TW. Edit - after completing the historical campaign. I really enjoyed the full historical campaign. Not too much micromanagement. Achilles' army gets very powerful later on with the Myrmidons (ants in ancient greek). The extra weapons and armour that Achilles and his generals get are very nice (add melee and other stats). The terrain is very important in Troy as mud or forest will slow down the chariots or heavy units. I will also try the mythological campaign with Cyclops etc.
Gets a bad rap imo, has a lot of cool ideas for alternative takes on historical total wars. I like that you can choose to just have your generals be normal dudes in a unit, or go for the three kingdoms lu-bu style of achilles depending on your preference. The mythical unit implementation was also cool, having the choice of the centaurs being special normal cavalry with good stats, or the larger than life monsters like youd see in warhammer total war with the centigors. I just really don't like the multi resource city building on the campaign map that they've gone for with this, and now pharaoh/dynasties. Not bad, but not worth 50$. If you can get it on sale for like 20-30$ with maybe some dlc, that might be worth it, but for me it was a bit more of a miss. ESPECIALLY because of the step backwards for multiplayer campaigns. WH3 has like 8 player coop, why couldn't we have more than 2 dudes for this with the epic trojan war campaign, when we have heroes like ajax, achilles, and hector roaming around. It would make for a really cool multiplayer campaign if you could do a proper head to head 2v2 or 3v3 campaign. Just a bit of wasted potential in that regards. To their credit, I do like the sieges in this game more than wh3 though. I'd give it a 6/10 overall, and if I could I'd give it a 50/50 on steam if that was an option.
