For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Ships At Sea is a next-generation maritime and ship simulator set in the Norwegian Sea, featuring single-player, online co-op multiplayer, and dedicated server support. Build your maritime career through commercial fishing, cargo transport, service vessel operations, and a wide range of authentic maritime activities while progressing through multiple vessel classes.
Developed by Misc Games, creators of the popular Fishing: North Atlantic and Fishing: Barents Sea franchises, Ships At Sea allows players to explore a highly detailed open-world recreation of the Lofoten region of Norway. Visit ports and harbours, manage your fleet through fully accessible shipyard and dry dock facilities, upgrade and maintain vessels, purchase equipment, and work your way toward larger and more advanced ships.
Start your journey with smaller boats and gradually unlock increasingly capable vessels as you transport cargo, operate fishing equipment, support fish farming operations, and take on maritime service activities. Play alone or with friends, create a company together, share resources, work on the same vessel, or operate independently within a shared multiplayer world.
The game currently features 13 playable boats and ships across multiple vessel classes, including the first Class 4 offshore wind farm support vessel. Upcoming updates will expand Class 4 gameplay with ferry operations, crab and lobster fishing, while future development will introduce Class 5 vessels, additional maritime industries, and new activities across the Norwegian Sea.
Operate fully functional wheelhouse instruments and vessel systems designed around authentic maritime workflows. Whether navigating through dense fog, rough seas, or challenging weather conditions, every voyage requires planning, skill, and coordination.
Ships At Sea combines Nvidia WaveWorks ocean simulation technology with our own physically based buoyancy system to deliver realistic vessel handling and an immersive maritime environment. Dynamic weather systems, weather forecasts, storms, fog, rain, and changing sea states ensure that no two journeys feel the same.
Building on the realism of our previous titles, Ships At Sea features licensed vessels, equipment, and navigation systems from real-world maritime, offshore, and fishing industry partners. Combined with stunning visuals, realistic environments, and authentic maritime operations, the game aims to deliver one of the most comprehensive maritime simulation experiences available.

I've stumbled upon this game by an accident. My expectations were quite low to be honest, because I don't have much trust over sim creators (a lot of studio release a game and then abandon it half way to release of 1.0). It was a very pleasant surprise. I know the game has been through a lot of changes an improvements (just take a look at YT videos from 1 year ago vs today). Runs great, very stable. Ive encountered some bug but nothing major or very annoying. The world is big and it has some nice depth into it. All in all im having a blast. For those of you that don't know the title and don't know what to expect: It's basically a ship sandbox. You start your carreer as as sailor, having limited budget you have "some" paths to choose. You make your way up to grow you fleet/level to earn more and more. To be honest although at the very beginning it seems like having infinite money to spend is the end-game - it really is not. The game has a lot of potential for just casual ships enthusiuasts that want to cruise and have fun together doing missions. Here are my pros and cons for the title as of Juyl 2026. Pros: - interesting game concepts - various and quite detailed units - graphics and weather effects - radio feature (live streaming radios like in ETS) - very nice roadmap and active devs - I was able to talk 1on1 to some od the team behind it on Discord which is unusual - a lot of ideas from the community - very stable for current branch. No crashes, decent performance and overall stability - dedicated servers - overall atmosphere of the game and feeling of the gameplay Cons: - unbalanced money making for now. Fishery is no 1, cargo and passenger missions although fun are making pennies - you won't be able to afford biggest ships juust from hauling - dedicated servers lack some settings - you can't setup password and there's issues with loading your own/coop savefile. Coop works great however - unbalanced ships - this is interconnected to economy. Some ships are designed for specific things, if you want to play it cause you like it thats fine, but sooner or later you will realise you will anyway have to do what's currently "worth it" in order to progress - very small amount of random events, like fire missions, hauling/towing missions - no chat in game - when playing multiplayer - no ability to lock your own fishing nets/buoys - might be tricky to manage a lot of longlines/nets from multiple players in the same place - limited variety of missions - passenger missions are too rare, and there's t3 ship designed strictly for that - so doesn't make much sense - I wish there would be search and rescue missions - missions for smaller task (fixing lighthouse, wind farms), should get 1000% boost in earnouts - doesn't make sense to do anything nowadays - fuel economy for some ships is broken and unbalanced - doing missions in them barely covers fuel cost Overall I think game has bright future ahead. I just wish the development would be faster

Bought a boat and accepted a contract that the game indicated I could complete with my new vessel. After spending about an hour sailing to the destination port, I was informed that my ship wasn't allowed to dock there, making the contract impossible to finish. At that point, I quit and requested a refund. This feels like a very basic gameplay issue that should have been resolved long ago. After two years in Early Access, it's hard for me to be optimistic about the game's future if fundamental systems like contract validation and docking restrictions still aren't working properly.
A lot of the negative reviews are unfair or from very early on during the development. The game is EARLY ACCESS - you're not buying a polished game (remember that). I held off buying this game for months due to the flood of negative comments. Today, I finally bit the bullet... I've had 8 hours of fun already and plan on continuing to play. 10/10 - would purchase again. EDIT - 30 hours in and I'm still enjoying it :)
After about 5 hours of playing, I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised by Ships At Sea. I was a little worried it would be a hardcore ship simulator, but thankfully it isn’t. For me, it feels a lot like Derail Valley — but wet. 😂 The gameplay loop is simple: take a job, load your cargo, leave the harbour, sail to your destination, deliver it and get paid. Yes, you’re basically doing the same kind of thing over and over, but that’s exactly what I enjoy about games like ETS2 and Derail Valley. I don’t need constant variety. I just want a vehicle, a destination, freedom and a reason to be on the road — or in this case, at sea. The controls are also important to me, and so far they feel logical and natural. I use a combination of keyboard/mouse and controller, and that works perfectly fine for me. The atmosphere is probably my favourite part. Leaving the harbour, following the buoys, setting a course, watching the coastline go by and listening to some Soft Rock Radio in the background… it really gives you that feeling of actually being on a voyage. ⚓🌊🎶 Of course, it’s still Early Access, so there are things that can be improved and features still being developed. But the core gameplay already works really well for me. After 5 hours, my verdict is simple: This is pretty much what I was hoping for. It’s not a professional maritime simulator where you need a degree in naval operations just to leave the harbour. It’s an accessible and relaxing game where you can take a ship, pick up some cargo and simply enjoy the journey. Derail Valley, but wet. 👍 Recommended!
Can't recommend this in it's current state. Not really because of the gameplay itself. Is it slow? Yes, but I guess that what it's like out on the sea. The issue is the payments. You get payd literally nothing for jobs. If converted to dollars, a early job will pay you $100-600, and some takes ours, not in game hours, literal hours. There should be some kind of travel fee on top of the standard payment. Traveling is slow as it is but with the payment being as low as it is the games progression is not fun at the moment.
lame arcadey pseudo "simulator" that can't even get their longline-fishing prices corrected after 6+ months for newcomers aiming to give fishing career a try. let alone providing hotas and controller configuration support for sim veterans that sit here stacked with lovely and immersive hardware and gear. on the other hand... with super-simplistic, heavily scripted water and boat physics that bore you after mere 5 seconds of "gameplay" who needs hotas and controller support anyways? just WASD and autopilot your way into this glorified autopilot- and economy management game. then it makes total sense. another wannabe "sim" ruined by sacrificing sim-oriented control and physics layers, to cater to consolero and gamepad masses akin to seafarer. for those that don't know akin to flight simulators or any sim for that matter. you just can't have "gameygamey" easy controls, without sacrificing believable physics or control-layers. as they are strongly coupled, mostly unseparable without implementing "extra" or multiple control + physical interaction layers. I'd rather suggest you give Professional Ship Simulator Demo a try on Steam. Afaik formerly known as "Nautica XP". For those that look for actual hotas-support, simulation priorities and believable ship and water physics. Already super fun handling and depth compared to mentioned arcade-games here.
Hopefully they actually finish this game but in its current state its exceptionally rough and unplayable
Absolutely love it. Very realistic looking sea. Getting better with every Update and patch now. Looking forward to future updates of class 5 and more class 4 ships. Would highly recommend if you have a high spec PC
Still needs time in the oven. I don't want to call the game jank, because that doesn't quite fit, but it's just clunky. You can't even jump into the water to swim, invisible walls prevent it. The games default music is not good to me, it swings from generic exploration/discovery movie music to youth church vibes music. Now I am no stranger to "boring games" but it would be very appreciated if there was some sort of busy work I can do while sailing in the ocean. At least in Sailwind I am checking supplies, catching and cooking fish, checking my location in the world with a sextant. Here I just kinda stare at the waves. I would have put more hours into this game, but the game crashed and I cannot be bothered to boot up again.
