About

DUE PROCESS is a tactical FPS where tactics finally matter. Planning & teamwork are essential for victory because every map is procedurally generated. You'll be faced with a new challenge every time you play.
Fresh maps make Due Process great. Levels are built in-house via a procedurally assisted level generation process and are delivered periodically via steam update, which means you won't be playing on the same stale level. Our level designers edit each level before it goes out and are constantly trying new concepts.
Teamwork starts with a goal. Discuss your strategy over voice chat, and use the planning phase to draw up a plan of attack. Deploy your assets wisely over the course of three rounds, as anything fielded from your armory won't come back if destroyed or lost.
No plan survives first contact. The plan is a start, but you're going to have to think on your feet and coordinate with your team when things go awry. Getting your teammate to open fire to cover your footsteps just might secure you the element of surprise.

Play as two distinct factions with radically different playstyles and capabilities. Asymmetric warfare at its finest.
A corporate military force contracted with enforcing indefinite martial law. Armed with the best tactical gear and weapons for a CQB environment. Speed, surprise, and violence of action are the essential elements of good execution. Once a plan is made, move forward with purpose, either by systematically eliminating the opposition room by room, or by striking swiftly at the heart of the defense.
A rag-tag band of outlaws who oppose the corporations by any means necessary. Their weapons and gear are relics and rudimentary, but are not to be underestimated. Cunning is their strength. Anticipate what the enemy is planning, then set up the kill zone. Lay traps, coordinate crossfire with your team, and exploit breaks in the attack to flank the enemy and bring a decisive end to the fight.

Please play this game. It still has some active players and it deserves all the support it can get. Really good ♥♥♥♥ as advertised on the storepage. And you can draw a penis on the map
This is probably the saddest review I am going to do because, in theory, Due Process is not only a great tactical shooter but a revolutionary one. However, I need to be honest and realistic: this game is almost unplayable, and I simply don't believe it will ever get better. I will directly address the main problem: the low player base. I play on EU servers and really had to time my online sessions perfectly, like weekend afternoons, just to get tolerable queue times. Even then, you sometimes need the patience to wait several minutes. That is also why I played casual most of the time, as ranked takes even longer. This problem is so severe that the developers even gave players the option to leave a casual match instantly to join a starting ranked match. So, while you can argue whether the low player base is the developers' fault or not, it is definitely an issue so massive that it creates a negative chain reaction throughout the game. It is so dire that the developers recently celebrated having just 153 concurrent players online. And since the game received almost no relevant updates over the past year, I get the feeling the developers know the game won't survive and are slowly abandoning it. But now, let’s talk about the revolutionary aspects I mentioned. Due Process is definitely a tactical shooter with the core DNA of Counter-Strike and the tactical depth of Rainbow Six Siege. However, the developers deeply analyzed those successful titles and managed to successfully eliminate the issues those shooters still face. The biggest fix is definitely that every player, whether a newbie or a veteran, has the exact same map knowledge because the maps are randomly generated. Fortunately, things like throwing grenades at weird angles to act like mortars don’t exist here; instead, the game focuses on quick adaptation. Another awesome improvement is the replacement of a traditional economy with an "arsenal" for guns. This means you don't buy your weapons, nor do you have your own loadout. Instead, you pick weapons from gun safes that do not refill after a round ends. If you pick the sniper rifle and lose it, your teammates or enemies can grab it, but no one can buy it back once it is gone. Another great balance choice is that attackers have more HP, which removes the typical "peeker's disadvantage." I also want to mention mechanical details like physical doors that the "counter-terrorists" must kick open or safely blast through with a shotgun, as well as the ability to reach and deactivate the power switch to gain a massive advantage in the darkness with night-vision goggles. There are even more unique aspects uncommon for tactical shooters, but I don't want to explain every single one. What I can say, though, is that even with these great features, the downside is a steep learning curve where due to the low player base, you literally have to wait forever just to get a chance to learn the game, which really sucked for me. Unfortunately, it is hard to say how the tactical component fully worked for me because casual matches don't go that deep, and I only played about five ranked matches. Even in casual, it was hard to tell if a win or loss was due to our tactical approach. Because of the tiny player base, it was impossible to avoid matches where the skill levels within a team were completely mixed. However, I can fairly say there were definitely moments when my team was constantly drawing on the map, pinging, and giving callouts, which was an awesome experience. On the flip side, there were matches where no one talked, or players stopped taking the game seriously and became toxic. I witnessed multiple matches where American players, who were definitely intoxicated, joined EU servers and abused the voice chat by singing and monologuing constantly. It wasn't funny; it was just disrespectful to the few players who were doing their best to actually play and enjoy those few matches. The presentation is surprisingly great. I would even say it is one of the more immersive tactical shooters out there, making you truly feel like a special forces unit trying to stop a terrorist bomb attack. Even though the graphics are simple, both factions have a believable look (even with skins) where the attackers feel powerful while the defenders have the advantage of turning the building into a fortress. My personal highlight is definitely when the bomb isn't defused: instead of the round just ending with a standard explosion and text overlay, you get a cutscene where the entire building explodes with a bang. All in all, you now understand why I think the lack of players makes Due Process a bad experience, even though it is theoretically one of the best tactical shooters we have seen in recent years. I cannot recommend it right now, unless you are fine with struggling to find a match, nor can I recommend it for the future, as I have personally lost hope for this game. It is a real shame, and I genuinely wish I were wrong.
Best 89 cents ive ever spent... i would pay $5 for this game max if anything the game should be free like people recommend & then you set up a donation website for the game because i would donate to keep the game going its amazing & has so much potential i would love to see this game get big

If you like arena shooters with a small learning curve, this is the game for you. I highly recommend joining their subreddit or discord. This game is great it just needs more players atm.
Good idea, but the player base is not there.
I must say that it is by far the tactical game i a enjoyed the most in my life! First of all the overall ambiance ( which feel like you are in the Judge Dredd universe) at the same time it feels 80's as hell. Second , the rotation of the different map layout and the fact that it is picked as random means that you have to put together a strategy on the fly when it starts. Third , communication is key in this game and the planning phase at the start of the round is a blessing and works great + you have a limited number of each weapons and tools so you have to choose carefully. Its truly a shame that this game is very close to being dead , i had such a blast when there was players around! You just cannot go wrong being this gem for 1$ , hurry up and play ! Make this game great again
This game is an absolute sleeper. There are a few features that are unique and charming to the genre: RNG maps every week(?), an "economy" where you share a cache of weapons instead of purchasing, and gameplay features like night vision, prep phase where you draw out a plan, and special breaches/doors. The art style is cool, the gunplay is also really good, and its just fun.
