8-Bit Adventures 1: The Forgotten Journey Remastered Edition

Great game! Reminds me of FF1-3. If you’re okay without a lot of hand holding and talking to NPCs to find out where to go next, this is the game for you. Very much like a NES classic.

An excellent throwback to older games that doesn't restrict itself to older storytelling techniques -- the narrative (and the meta narrative) are excellent, the characters are a lot of fun and having surprising nuance, and it's overall a great experience

VERY primitive graphics but decent gameplay and story. A good stepping stone for its much higher quality sequel

Amusing game. Plenty of cameos and Easter eggs for people that have played older games. I've seen references to quite a few already :)

Interesting story, fun gameplay, big world, good game. Combat is easily cheesed in most cases, being able to reliably AoE blind almost every monster in the game, making you take no damage. Otherwise, fun. About 12 hours to complete the story and most of the side content, but it seems that a few things are entirely missable and these are indeed tied to achievements.

O the scale of JRPG mechanics this would land below Final Fantasy 1. It felt more like a walking simulator than a JRPG, at no point in the game I was making any tactical decision more advanced than red beats green, green beats blue blue beats red. That said the story and the characters kept me playing till the end, it was nothing original but felt charming. The ending was meh, but writing a good ending is hard. In summary i had good and relaxing time playing this. Recommended at discount.

One of the best RPG Maker titles out there. It has a unique story with well-written characters that you actually care about. Don't let the simple graphics fool you - there's real heart and craft here. A must-play for JRPG fans who appreciate a good story.

What a great little game this was!!! As an OG and fan of 8 and 16 Bit RPGs from days gone by, I really enjoyed this little game and an looking forward to playing the sequel next!!! I recommend this game for fans of the classics... Its not overly "fancy" but its nostalgic and fun!!!

Game is an amazing throwback to old 8-bit games for a cheap price and a good chunk of playtime. Genuinely worth your time and money.
