Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena

Such a boring game. I will never play this ever again in my life time.

This one is a hard one. On one hand it is a ok old school hidden object game where each scene is a just a pure HOS or a minigame. On the other hand so many people have issues running the game (myself included both on Windows and with Proton on Linux) and the developers haven't bothered updating the game since 2014. I got it more or less to work with Proton 7.0-3 (older versions wouldn't work for me), but it still had issues starting 2x.

Other Samantha Swift game does not even start at all so it is surprise this game started. But maybe would be better if it did not because game is not good. It runs only in small resolution and is bugged many times and waste your time. Really shocking how expensive these games is when they don't get fixes!

This game is a great example of how similar and repetitive many hidden object games are. Aside from the top 5% of games in the genre, they all play pretty much the same, but with some thematic mini-games thrown in, depending on the setting. This game is no different, featuring bland object finding and the occasional archaeologist themed puzzle. Story is barely a part of the game, and is only there in order to get the character to the next hidden object scene. Классика MumboJumbo, слишком требовательная игруля. Лагает так, что пришлось подрубать утку (не медицинскую, хотя она нужнее). Игра детства, кайфанул и вспомнил, как проходил её первый раз. Жаль что в стиме только две части из 4-х, да ещё и нерабочая вторая...

The graphics are ok for its age, but this feels sloppily made. The puzzles are nonsensical but nevertheless impossibly easy (as in you do not need to think for a second, just click.) I can recommend for people looking for a hidden object game when they have played everything else, as i didn't hate it... but there are much better games of this genre on the store.

the game ran fine. i played the other samantha swift game as a kid, so it was fun to revisit, very much a product of its time though. i recommend to buy on sale
