amazing game that takes the first game and ramps it up to 11. 10/10
This is hands down one of the best games I have ever played. It is a true testament to just how good the Wolfenstein reboot franchise actually is. The graphics here are a massive improvement over the previous two games, and the gameplay is just fantastic. While I would recommend playing the New order and Old blood first, you can’t go wrong with trying this game out as your first Wolfenstein game in the franchise. It introduces some great new characters like Horton and Super Spesh. This game had so much meme worthy content on it that you will find on Youtube it keeps the Wolfenstein charm with it alive. Fun fact, if you don’t know, the guy that Hitler killed from Arizona is Ronald Ragen in an alternative universe of all things. SPACE ALIENS MAN! The weapons are fantastic, you have the original ones from the New Order, but now have lasers, petrol grande guns, you get my point, I can’t remember all of them off the top of my head. All weapons have a much better upgrade system as well, and the dual-wielding has been much better improved as well. The nightmare mini games are gone, however, you can play a full original copy of the original Wolfenstein 3D, which is just as cool. Again, the soundtrack and OST is just legendary, Mick Gordon does a fantastic job always. I do have some complaints with the game, however. I feel that the vibe this game has is a lot less grim than the last game. Going to the death camp in Croatia was very terrifying, along with Wyatt or Fergus getting their brain’s taken out. At certain times, the New Order felt like a hybrid of a horror game and an action-based shooter. This game does have its moments, but a lot of it feels like Doom except the demons are just Nazi’s and your objective is to kill them. The lore in comparison to the first two isn’t too interesting; it’s mostly about killing Frau Engel. The final boss as well is fun to play against, but I’m sitting here feeling like, that’s it? At least in the new order, you had high stakes fighting against the big evil Death Head, and the giant monster in the old blood. But the only thing you fight here is two generic robot’s. Don’t get me wrong, though I did enjoy the fight, but I was expecting something a bit more. It truly is a shame how things went with Youngblood after this masterpiece. But we should all have hope because Wolfenstein 3 is in the works, and it should give a conclusive ending to the series. 8/10
terrible
All these years later I still love it. The story is actually great, so are the lessons the game is trying to teach. It also runs perfectly at a locked 170fps on my computer, no stutters. Still looks great. Defo recommend.
This is genuinely one of the most unoptimized games I have ever played. I have been going back and 100% these games, Old Blood ran really poorly on my set up, New Colossus actually ran really well and new this one is giving me even worse problems than Old Blood did, that game at least didn't crash and freeze whenever it felt like it. Don't buy this game if you can actually run it since these games are written by children in an engine that makes a mouse on a wheel in a basement look like a better alternative.
Loved the story, liked the gameplay, felt that the feeling that made Wolfenstein: New Order's gameplay amazing wasn't present on this one but some of the new systems they implemented ( weapon upgrades and character ability) compensated for it
I now have Ptsd... Totally worth it
After 20yrs of playing...this is STILL, the best game on the planet, IMHO. It's was beautifully written on every level possible. I just wish they'd get back to the roots of this game, instead of this woke, bullsh*t they started going in starting with The New Colossus.
This game its pretty good, I just don't like the gun mechanics as it feels odd, maybe cause this game is very old but I dont mind it, its kinda unoptimzed on laptop even when its a high end on built for gaming, I like the story but it is a bit confusing, its just hearing the word nazi gets annoying.
