Comentario Analítico: "Wolfenstein: The Old Blood"
all in all it's very much like wolfenstein: the new order (duh!) but more light-hearted and actually more fun! this one feels 100% like a proper wolfenstein game. sadly movement is still sluggish like in the last game with all the associated unpleasantness. stealth is a side note with not even the darkest corners of the map giving you any increase in concealment. but that's ok. wolfenstein games aren't exactly known for being sneaky and subtle. finishing the game took 13 hours with ocd-levels of map exploration and getting all the combat perks unlocked. 26 hours in total for 100% achievements. the challenge levels were a pain in the neck and totally unnecessary. oh well, the things you do for another 100%... back to my review of wolfenstein: the new order: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Meister_Leuchte/recommended/201810/
I was one of the people who genuinely enjoyed this game. The story was decent. I 100% it and was pretty happy that it didn't take too long. My biggest criticism is that this is the buggiest Wolfenstein game I've played so far, so it was a shame that I had to restart a lot of events, such as having to redo several challenge maps for the gold medals. I thank my girlfriend for donating this game to me.
Pretty fun prequel
The Wolfenstein series is a great reminder of how good a focused single-player FPS can be. No bloated multiplayer systems, battle passes, or endless filler — just fast, polished gunplay, incredible weapon feel, and a campaign that keeps the action moving from start to finish. Every gun feels powerful, the pacing stays tight, and the games never lose sight of what makes shooters fun. I wish more modern FPS games focused on this kind of pure, gameplay-first experience. My ranking: though I still recommend all of them 1.Wolfenstein: The Old Blood 2.Wolfenstein: The New Order 3.Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus 4.Wolfenstein: Youngblood
Really enjoyed getting to infiltrate Castle Wolfenstein in this one, the village section was a nice change of scenery and I loved how this one leaned into the paranormal more than the New Order. Feels and plays exactly like the first game so it's just more of what was already great.
Wolfenstein The Old Blood is a really good prequel to The New Order. Both games share similar gameplay and graphics, although you get some new stuff in it to really spice up the gameplay a bit. The game does have the emotional storytelling like The New Order, although it focuses more on the adventure side of things while also keeping it dramatic, which works really well. This is the shortest game of the trilogy series, only coming in at 4-5 hours long, so it does feel a bit fast paced at times. I really liked the new characters in this game, especially the villains, but since the game is short, there isn't that much focus given to them which honestly kinda sucks. But still I really liked this game and despite its runtime, it was honestly more enjoyable compared to the New Colossus if I have to be honest. 8.2/10 - Both the New Order and Old Blood are definitely worth checking out.
