About
You are one of the three survivors of the slaughter of Castagath. Rescued by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock, you were drafted into the Republic’s Army of the Purifiers at a very young age to be trained in the military academy and become perfect soldiers against the supernatural. You also had the chance to benefit from Heimlock’s occasional advice and training, which led you and your childhood friends, Valeria and Edric, to be called the “Children of Heimlock”.
Recently, the Brotherhood of Dawn has infiltrated the Crimson Keep, a mysterious republican fortress lost among the northern deserts known as the Red wastes. While the purpose of the attack was unclear, the republican Senate voted a retaliation act against all known locations of the Brotherhood.
Led by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock himself, troops are soon deployed on the Coast of wrecks, near the city state of Stormfall, to terminate a camp of Brothers. You are, with your two childhood friends, part of operation Dawnbane, under the supervision of Justicar Maëlys.

Reviews
While fun at the time Wolcen does not have servers to play online anymore. Do. Not. Buy. The game is a barebones at best singleplayer experience and is not worth the $30 US that they're asking for when Last Epoch exists.
Most disappointing ARPG launch in history.
Schade...
Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem—a name so full of promise, you’d think it was forged in the fires of Mount Doom and polished with the tears of underpaid indie developers. But no! What we got was a glittering skeleton wrapped in tinfoil and duct tape, doomed to crumble before it ever stood tall. NYEHHH! The first few hours? Glorious! The graphics? Stunning! You stroll into battle wielding lightning, shadows, and the hopes of everyone who thought "Finally, a true Diablo killer!" But then… reality bites. And it bites hard. Let’s talk about the gameplay—because oh dear, sweet necrotic failure, it wants to be something. The combat is flashy, the skill system is cool in theory, and the classless freedom? Delightful… until you realize that balance was left in the developer’s sock drawer during early access and never retrieved. And the bugs, oh the bugs! This game launched like it was trying to speedrun its own obituary. Crashes, desyncs, invisible enemies, disappearing loot—it was like fighting both demons and the spaghetti code they rode in on. You didn’t die in Wolcen because you made mistakes—you died because the server sneezed. Ah yes, the servers. R.I.P. You will not be missed. Multiplayer was a catastrophe from day one. You had a better chance of summoning an actual demon than getting a stable co-op session. And now? Shut down. Gone. Vanished into the void. Like the developers’ long-term roadmap. All that’s left is offline mode and the echoes of what could have been. And let’s not forget: they pulled the plug quietly, like rats leaving a sinking ship. No big send-off. Just a whisper: “No sequel. No more updates. Good luck with your necromancer, loser.” Bravo. Truly, a masterclass in vanishing before the pitchforks arrive. Final Verdict: 💀💀⬛⬛⬛ (2 out of 5 Skulls) Wolcen had the looks of a god-tier ARPG and the heart of a wet napkin. Its ambition was commendable, its presentation was slick, but its execution? A tragic belly flop into the pit of squandered potential. A game that sprinted straight into its own grave and then politely shut the coffin lid. If you're curious, the offline version still works… sort of. But know this: you’re playing a digital tombstone, a relic of hype and hubris. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be over here—not playing Wolcen—and laughing maniacally at the ruins of what was supposed to be “the next big thing.” NYEHHH!
I can only recommend this game when it's on sale. For 2.99 (Historical low as of time of this writing.) It's a neat, if a little unstable, Loot-based ARPG with neat ideas. But it's also forever stuck in the "has a lot of potential" stage since the developers have moved on. For 29.99 it'd feel like a weird dead end that other "live" ARPGs don't have.
I bought it in early access, and it was fun back then. I never liked the direction the game took after.
Could have been good, ended up trash and abandoned.
No vuelvo a comprar un juego en desarrollo, pagué 30 euros hace años y prometía. Ahora lo abandonan y sacan el multijugador. Una estafa.
