About
You are one of the three survivors of the slaughter of Castagath. Rescued by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock, you were drafted into the Republic’s Army of the Purifiers at a very young age to be trained in the military academy and become perfect soldiers against the supernatural. You also had the chance to benefit from Heimlock’s occasional advice and training, which led you and your childhood friends, Valeria and Edric, to be called the “Children of Heimlock”.
Recently, the Brotherhood of Dawn has infiltrated the Crimson Keep, a mysterious republican fortress lost among the northern deserts known as the Red wastes. While the purpose of the attack was unclear, the republican Senate voted a retaliation act against all known locations of the Brotherhood.
Led by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock himself, troops are soon deployed on the Coast of wrecks, near the city state of Stormfall, to terminate a camp of Brothers. You are, with your two childhood friends, part of operation Dawnbane, under the supervision of Justicar Maëlys.

This is the worst diablike I've ever played, and made even worse by devs that have completely abandoned the project after saying they would fix their broken game after they put it out on the market. Please don't buy this broken, uninspired garbage. There are far better games on this platform like Chronicon, Grim Dawn, and Titan Quest.
I came, I saw, I held down one button, and everything stopped existing. Look, this game is gorgeous. Like, “pause mid-combat just to admire the explosions” gorgeous. Combat feels smooth, weighty, flashy in all the right ways. Builds? Surprisingly flexible. You can experiment, respec, try different playstyles, it feels like an ARPG playground. I didn’t hit any bugs or jank. None. Which almost feels like I unlocked a rare achievement given the game’s reputation. That said… The systems and UI can feel a bit… “who designed this at 3am and said ‘yeah, ship it’?” Not terrible, just weird enough to make you squint. But here’s the real issue: This game is basically a beautifully preserved fossil. No ongoing updates. No new content. No balance changes. What you see is what you get—forever. Which leads to the other problem: At some point, your build just… wins. Hard. My character turned into a laser-powered delete button, and the game didn’t really push back. Ascended form? Cool in theory, but completely unnecessary when you’re already erasing reality by holding down one skill. If things get too easy, you might actually have to nerf yourself just to keep it interesting. Which is… a choice. Verdict: 👍 Looks amazing 👍 Feels great to play 👍 Fun to experiment with builds 👎 Weird UI decisions 👎 No future, no updates 👎 Balance goes out the window eventually Do I recommend it? Only if: you’re an ARPG collector you want a flashy, short-term power fantasy you’re okay knowing this game isn’t going anywhere you get it a DEEP discount Otherwise… there are better long-term homes for your time. Final rating: “Press button, delete enemies, uninstall peacefully” / 10
Game was very solid for the genre imo, discounted price is unbeatable. Had a great deal of fun going through it.
Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem—a name so full of promise, you’d think it was forged in the fires of Mount Doom and polished with the tears of underpaid indie developers. But no! What we got was a glittering skeleton wrapped in tinfoil and duct tape, doomed to crumble before it ever stood tall. NYEHHH! The first few hours? Glorious! The graphics? Stunning! You stroll into battle wielding lightning, shadows, and the hopes of everyone who thought "Finally, a true Diablo killer!" But then… reality bites. And it bites hard. Let’s talk about the gameplay—because oh dear, sweet necrotic failure, it wants to be something. The combat is flashy, the skill system is cool in theory, and the classless freedom? Delightful… until you realize that balance was left in the developer’s sock drawer during early access and never retrieved. And the bugs, oh the bugs! This game launched like it was trying to speedrun its own obituary. Crashes, desyncs, invisible enemies, disappearing loot—it was like fighting both demons and the spaghetti code they rode in on. You didn’t die in Wolcen because you made mistakes—you died because the server sneezed. Ah yes, the servers. R.I.P. You will not be missed. Multiplayer was a catastrophe from day one. You had a better chance of summoning an actual demon than getting a stable co-op session. And now? Shut down. Gone. Vanished into the void. Like the developers’ long-term roadmap. All that’s left is offline mode and the echoes of what could have been. And let’s not forget: they pulled the plug quietly, like rats leaving a sinking ship. No big send-off. Just a whisper: “No sequel. No more updates. Good luck with your necromancer, loser.” Bravo. Truly, a masterclass in vanishing before the pitchforks arrive. Final Verdict: 💀💀⬛⬛⬛ (2 out of 5 Skulls) Wolcen had the looks of a god-tier ARPG and the heart of a wet napkin. Its ambition was commendable, its presentation was slick, but its execution? A tragic belly flop into the pit of squandered potential. A game that sprinted straight into its own grave and then politely shut the coffin lid. If you're curious, the offline version still works… sort of. But know this: you’re playing a digital tombstone, a relic of hype and hubris. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be over here—not playing Wolcen—and laughing maniacally at the ruins of what was supposed to be “the next big thing.” NYEHHH!
