About
You are one of the three survivors of the slaughter of Castagath. Rescued by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock, you were drafted into the Republic’s Army of the Purifiers at a very young age to be trained in the military academy and become perfect soldiers against the supernatural. You also had the chance to benefit from Heimlock’s occasional advice and training, which led you and your childhood friends, Valeria and Edric, to be called the “Children of Heimlock”.
Recently, the Brotherhood of Dawn has infiltrated the Crimson Keep, a mysterious republican fortress lost among the northern deserts known as the Red wastes. While the purpose of the attack was unclear, the republican Senate voted a retaliation act against all known locations of the Brotherhood.
Led by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock himself, troops are soon deployed on the Coast of wrecks, near the city state of Stormfall, to terminate a camp of Brothers. You are, with your two childhood friends, part of operation Dawnbane, under the supervision of Justicar Maëlys.

Reviews
This game had some potential. For now, maybe get it for $5 on sale. Spells feel really good and the story is one of a kind.
One of the best RPG Diablo-style games I played up until Chapter 4. After 4, it was the biggest garbage I have ever seen in gaming. WTF happened? I have no idea. So boring and repetitive; it is crazy. How can one dislike a game so much only 1 chapter later ? The game went from 9/10 to 1/10 after Chapter 4. After that Its like a completly diffrent game.
War mal ein schönes Spiel für ein paar Multiplayer-Stunden zwischendurch. Leider hat der Anbieter die Lobbyserver für den Multiplayer heruntergefahren. Somit ist leider nur noch der Single-Player möglich.
Yes, many are angry the game isn't multiplayer anymore. But the game still exists, the game is still playable. Achievements still obtainable. The only bug i've experienced was at end game with a graphical bug, i switched PE god and the bug never happened again. you still get kill achievements when using summoner build. it has end game crafting, you creating structures to prepare for the big boy boss fight, create things that help with money, skill currency, gear improvement, and many more things. Movement is fine, you can use a controller or you click to move around which isn't a new thing and is easy to get used to. Made me remember my days in Drakensang. I've done 2 runs, 1st on a frost arrow archer and 2nd on a summoner witch. Builds that are on youtube are out-dated but do still watch them as they explain how damage and everything works. There is still an existing website for wolcen's passive skill tree that you can plan on and turn the 3 rings around. I am preparing for a 3rd run to get the no-death achievements. For solo play it's a great game, most of the dialogue you can skip, cutscences skippable. Customisation is basic but you collect dyes from monster drops and can colour everything and no matter what class you are, you can (in the armour customisation section) select any gear from any class to wear, mix and match and look fab or randomly select and look goofy. Dying your gear costs no gold. My end goal with this game is to get 100% achievements. Have learned alot with how the game works over time.
So far, I don't understand the hate this game gets. Definitely worth $2.69 thus far. Can't even get one chalupa for that price. Seems fun enough to mess around with after you've exhausted LE, POE2, TQ2, D4, etc.
the FPS is horrific... the support is no longer available... the game is abandoned.
Like everyone else, I want to like this game but the fact it was abandoned and after level 40 all you can do is some bs missions and there's no more story ruins the game, and there's no more levels. It's honestly pretty stupid. The creators really messed up on this one.
Offline singleplayer ARPG without DRM or DLCs? Cryengine aswell? Can disabled anti-aliasing and post-processing? With voice acting and cinematic cutscenes? The player verbally speaks and interacts with NPC's? Portal to town on demand? Linear with barely back tracking? No difficulty slider ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? No class commitment skill tree? I can play as drain tank? Female characters walk like fashion models with heel toed boots? What's this early 2000s? I never played much games when I was young, but boy does this remind me of the good old days when games were made to be fun and enjoyable. Before the modern audience and sweaty competitive scenes ruined everything that was fun. Whatever devs cooking, I hope it's as good, but I am saving a copy of this gem.
Why are there so many negative reviews? Yes, this is Diablo with a nice coat of paint, but the paint is VERY pretty! It's snacky, it's flashy, it's filled with quality of life improvements. It's all here from Diablo and similar games too: side quests, collectable dyes and skins, treasure goblins (called Omen of Wealth), socketed items, the Path of Exile like wheel of minor improvements leading to larger improvements, skills that level up through use, bosses, allies, shrines, tiers...all present and accounted for. But the enemies tend towards the strange over the generic and so do the locations: glittering palaces of opulence, battlefields overlooked by steampunk cannons, shipwreck graveyards. The dialogue is snarky but not too annoying, and easy to ignore since it tends to happen mid-battle. I didn't encounter any glitches. This is a slower and deliberate game than a lot of loot hack/slash types, but I liked the impact, the physics mixed with satisfying death animations. I guess a problem would be the online component is dead, but the single player seems smooth and fun still! If you want Diablo mixed with a little Torchlight (pets collect loot) and Path of Exile, check it out!
Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem
