About
You are one of the three survivors of the slaughter of Castagath. Rescued by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock, you were drafted into the Republic’s Army of the Purifiers at a very young age to be trained in the military academy and become perfect soldiers against the supernatural. You also had the chance to benefit from Heimlock’s occasional advice and training, which led you and your childhood friends, Valeria and Edric, to be called the “Children of Heimlock”.
Recently, the Brotherhood of Dawn has infiltrated the Crimson Keep, a mysterious republican fortress lost among the northern deserts known as the Red wastes. While the purpose of the attack was unclear, the republican Senate voted a retaliation act against all known locations of the Brotherhood.
Led by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock himself, troops are soon deployed on the Coast of wrecks, near the city state of Stormfall, to terminate a camp of Brothers. You are, with your two childhood friends, part of operation Dawnbane, under the supervision of Justicar Maëlys.

Reviews
Even tho the game is dead regarding updates and new content, it does a lot of things right. It's easy to pick up and play, the transmog system is so good should be standard of the genre. Music, story and graphics are great. Pick this game if: - It's on a promo - You don't care about online play - Enjoys ARPGs on a casual level
Don't buy. They cashed out on a bugged game that you couldn't even play on release, tried to fix it poorly, it's still unplayable. Devs ran out with the money, this is clearly a scam, beware of DOLUI the scammer
Doesn't remotely deserve the hate, its actually really good. The online shutdown is unfortunate but at the end of the day, who cares? People actually play these games in multiplayer? Was certainly buggy at launch but it has no microtransactions, which puts it above stuff like poe and last epoch. Overall very worth the money as I bought it on sale.
Decent ARPG with a cool system where you turn into a godlike being and go crazy and decent gear system. Unfortunately not much happened after it came out of early access and the devs have abandoned the game, uninterested in competing with D4 or PoE2 (or even Last Epoch). Fine enough combat and average endgame, no multiplayer. Again, the devs gave up, unless theres a 75% discount I cant recommend it
The last boss is incredibly bugged, and in a game-breaking kind of way. You literally will just get the whole bossfight reset on you. It happened to me twice, both in the 2nd and 3rd phase of this stupid fight. I'm done. I'm not repeatedly fighting a broken boss. There are no devs to support this anymore since they've abandoned it, officially. This was a severe disappointment to waste 20 hours on a campaign I can't even finish. 0/10, was not even worth the $4.50 I spent.
Not sure why all of the hate on this game. I have really had a blast playing through the campaign. No this is not as big as Grim Dawn or as deep as Diablo, but not everything needs to be. Also not sure about the bugs I read about in other reviews. I have not run into a single issue as of yet.
This is an excellent solo experience. I really enjoyed the environment designs, this game has one of the best backgrounds I have ever seen in any game, the skill mechanics are great and the fighting feels nice. This is one of the best isometric ARPG I have played. The only downside is the chapter 4, which is part of the story, BUT was fused with end-game grinding, I am simply not amused by that, end-game should be after the campaign has been completed, having it to be grinded with end-game farming is not a good game experience. Chapter 4 is a really lazy dev choice and is not worth playing.
If you ever feel bad about yourself just know that i played this game alone at home on newyears eve lmao
Bought the game at release and never opened it again, untill now. Most of the issues have been fixed, so it's worth playing now
Yes, many are angry the game isn't multiplayer anymore. But the game still exists, the game is still playable. Achievements still obtainable. The only bug i've experienced was at end game with a graphical bug, i switched PE god and the bug never happened again. you still get kill achievements when using summoner build. it has end game crafting, you creating structures to prepare for the big boy boss fight, create things that help with money, skill currency, gear improvement, and many more things. Movement is fine, you can use a controller or you click to move around which isn't a new thing and is easy to get used to. Made me remember my days in Drakensang. I've done 2 runs, 1st on a frost arrow archer and 2nd on a summoner witch. Builds that are on youtube are out-dated but do still watch them as they explain how damage and everything works. There is still an existing website for wolcen's passive skill tree that you can plan on and turn the 3 rings around. I am preparing for a 3rd run to get the no-death achievements. For solo play it's a great game, most of the dialogue you can skip, cutscences skippable. Customisation is basic but you collect dyes from monster drops and can colour everything and no matter what class you are, you can (in the armour customisation section) select any gear from any class to wear, mix and match and look fab or randomly select and look goofy. Dying your gear costs no gold. My end goal with this game is to get 100% achievements. Have learned alot with how the game works over time.
