About
Withered Haven is a first person psychological horror experience.
Step into the shoes of a man who has had his entire world ripped from him, his family lost to an unsolved disappearance. Reality collapses as he struggles to cling to normalcy. Trudging through his days and nights, he begins to notice supernatural occurrences and familiar presences, strangely corrupted beyond recognition. Will he find out what happened to his family, or will he succumb to the apparitions stalking his every move?

Even after burying himself in his work, the office doesn't seem the same. Though initially ordinary, everywhere you go something feels off. The air feels oppressively heavy, as if the very walls were watching him, hiding something just beyond the reach of the lights. Outside, the streets lie eerily silent, stretching empty and still, a deceptive calm. The family home, after being so painfully empty for so long, begins to stir once again.

You can run and you can hide, but you are powerless against supernatural entities. Search for key items, solve puzzles, and interact with the environment to progress as you avoid what horrors might be lurking and watching. Do not draw their attention to yourself.

Nice little hide-from-the-enemy style horror game here. I noticed that the darker the brightness setting was the more difficult it was, so by the end the game I had it cranked all the way up to ten. My only minor complaint is that one of the key items for unlocking the third ending is easy to miss and you have to use chapter select to go back and try to find it. All in all, I enjoyed it. I'm hoping more streamers will play it, too. (I think there's a slight nod to Caseoh at one point). Looking forward to more from these devs!
It's a no from me.
Really fun game, has solid suspense and you get an insane wife. No downsides here.

Withered Haven! One of my first Demos completed on my Youtube channel, so it has a big of... nostalgia? Withered Haven is a game where you play a man who arrived home one day to find his wife and child missing, and he has to navigate life not knowing what happened to them. Needless to say, he isn't doing very well, especially when he harbors guilt for spending so much time in the office. About the game itself, I'll list off the positives and negatives. Negatives: - I don't feel like the character models of the wife and kid fit the setting. Perhaps more of a cartoonish/anime style of graphics? - The story went by a bit too fast. You were in the office, then home, then office, then on the way to your car, then forest. Just felt like the game went by really quickly rather than slowing down and being a slow burn. - I'd like to know more about the motivation behind the wife's actions, and the throwback areas where you're in the house together don't really explain that much. Positives: - Even though I felt the character models didn't fit the graphics of the game, they were models that aren't used in every single indie horror you play, ever. That gives this a uniqueness that a lot of games are lacking. - The story is interesting. (SPOILERS) A story where a mans family goes missing and he has to navigate figuring out what to do without them, then finds out that his wife completed a demonic ritual to keep herself alive longer isn't a typical indie horror story. I was curious to learn more about where she figured out how to do this and what lead up to it. - The story left me wanting to know more in general, and wondering if there will be a second that possibly explains the origin of this demon ritual thing and how she could have gotten her hands on it, or at least have another family where it explains all that. - Creepy child stalking you is creepy. - Hot goth wife is hot? Thank you to the devs! I leave reviews that are always honest and sincere, regardless of free keys or not.
Good stealth gameplay, and the story holds your attention decently enough. It’s nice to have the option of multiple endings to see different choices after finding out the plot. Very immersive/oppressive atmosphere throughout the game. 8.5/10

Pretty good game, has a lot of suspense and a good way to lose an hour or two.
