First off: I suck at Witch Dancing. But getting those sweet quadruple or quintuple hits... It feels damn good. Time to learn.
Very nice, very fun little "click-em up" game. Very accessible and easy to pick up and play when you have time. Addicting gameplay loop that keeps you coming back for "just one more run". Great music tracks that never get repetitive even after hours of gameplay. Gameplay systems are much deeper than they might appear at the surface level, and if you really want to chase that high score you'll need to take advantage of them all. Whether you like old school arcade style hi-score chasing games or just want something quick to play to pass some time, Witch Dance offers you a lovely experience that is well crafted and obviously built by someone with passion for the medium.
Never really played a game like this. At its core its simple, but very addictive. There's actually a lot of depth to the game under the surface. It would be great to see a video made that goes over all the tech involved in trying to execute a high score. Some of the fun does come from figuring it out on your own though. The gameplay loop for Witch Dance is great though, and its a fun game to pick up and play, but also just as fun trying to beat your high score. The OST is great, and the songs don't get stale on loop. The graphics are cute and the sound effects really suck you into the game. I do wish with was a sound effect for when you get max mana though. Maybe in a future patch.
NO MANA
So, first off...I am an action gamer first and fore most (DMC, Dark Souls etc.) So playing a game like this, woa despite being simple its a special challenge...Their first game, Raddix Chronicle was great..I didn't finish it because but from what I played it has passion and creativity so the devs themselves are brilliant as I see it...As for Witch dance, the challenge is hard but the goals within the game are simple..the risk reward should not go this hard for such a simlpe game...I love it, and play it here and there to see if I can do better ! top notch stuff!
This is an extremely clever game! It's straight to the point yet having an immense amount of depth. The immediacy of the gameplay is addictive and just so much fun. Playing the game is a constant battle of trying to escape the "one more run", it goes so quick and then you're straight into the next run! You forget going to the bathroom, changing music tracks (which there are a few of, all quite earwormy), or whatever else you'd planned to do after "just one more run". Playing accesses that same emotion of being locked in as last hitting does in Dota. Moving your character feels good, there's weight but also a very satisfying directness about it. Hitting multiple enemies at once feels so amazingly satisfying, there's such good oumph to it. A lot of that is thanks to the outstanding soundeffects, not to mention the little calls of the character picking up mana, decoys or performing other actions. I am thankful for the Q/E key options in addition to the mouse buttons for playing the game as it makes it much more pleasant for me who have to use a trackball for gaming. Visuals are clear, cute and quite classy I'd say. With some nice effects to really hit those multi-hit attacks or bombs home. This is a great little game and I'm really happy that it exists
Fun little click em' up! Definitely gives you that "one more" feeling.
I'm not usually a Hi-Score kind of gamer nowadays, but man does this game unlock something in you. Each time I die, I'm like...just one more game, just one more. At first you'll probably die a lot, but once the gameplay starts to vibe with you, it just hits. The movement is different from any game I've ever played, using your mouse to strategically dodge through groups of enemies feels so fun. You legit feel like your little witch character is dancing around the map, then you add in the awesome tracks and you're grooving with anxiety. "Gates of Hello World" is such a banger of a song, my absolute favorite. It's a very simple game overall, but yet it gets slightly complex when you try to get far in the game or hit over 1K score. I love how the gameplay really keeps you on your toes. I wish I had something negative to say, maybe needs more backgrounds and maybe some customization of the witch sprite but for the price and the fun you'll have. This is a no brainer, pick up witch dance!
This game costs 3.89$ CAD. Come on. Just buy it, great time killer between long queue times. Addicting gameplay loop. No end game just try to get that dopamine hit to get a higher score
For a price less than a coffee at your local shop, you get a great little game that scratches the itch of "just one more". First time I played, i was lost (the good kind of) until I figured out how it works. Eventually, I found myself playing this game for two hours without realizing, time flies when you're having fun. 10/10 good ♥♥♥♥, it deserves more promo
