Overall great but also missed potential. Choices and consequences are there, the map exploration is extremely fun and the combat made me think I should check out more TRPG games. The story is somewhat simplistic but works well enough to stimulate the progression. However, over time it forms a feeling that the scope was cut. For example, there are 5 to 6 tiers of equipment but the best one is available when the game is essentially done (there is no new game plus). The map could include more locations but there is only a dozen or so. There is a crafting system but there is no time to use it since equipment tiers change often. The worst thing is paper cut bugs — not bad overall but there is one where an NPC says that the best ending is impossible when in fact it very much is (somehow it wasn’t addressed at all). Can recommend as a great AA CRPG / TRPG. Some polish would be appreciated. Don’t really get how a Microsoft-owned game studio cannot afford a couple of developers fixing obvious issues in their back catalogue. Oh well.

Had technical problems with the addons, but the story and the gameplay was overall quirky and entertaining. Good for everyone who wants a story where decisions matter in the overall game (not only in the end sequence, but also while playing).
Long story short, buy it on sale. Its a decent game, after having played wasteland 2, i was eager to play this. and was a bit disappointed. the UI is bad. during combat, after one character has finished their turn, the game automatically chooses the next character, instead of letting you. countless times ill finish whatever im doing in a battle, and go and select the next character i want doing something, and then it goes and chooses someone else. the hotkeys SUCK. many times the cursor will move to one of the items or abilities on the hotkeys and then exit out of it. also, for combat, its team based initiative? instead of individual based, and i just didnt like it. the humor also tries too hard to be edgy. there were alot of quests, but alot of them felt kind of empty. the story is great, but kind of badly executed? and like wasteland 2 you still have no control of your animal or human followers. which is just annoying. the abilities are cool, the weapons and mods are cool, and sneaking feels like its sort of pointless. most events you can sneak around in, you have to eventually fight whoever. it will be a long time before i decide to do another run, because there really isnt any likeable faction in the game(at least for me). all in all, id give this a 7. oh, one last thing, very annoying you cant skip the song slides when you die or "finish" the game prematurely.
not only does this game scratch every itch it's one of the only video games on earth that tries to be funny and actually succeeds sometimes
Wish there were more games that scratched the same CRPG itch
has flaws but is fun
Love it. If you miss old Fallout (I know wasteland came first) this is it. Isometric RPGs are the best.
