Wanda - A Beautiful Apocalypse

This is a 2D/top down style adventure puzzle game where you control an alien robot crashlanded on some planet and negotiate a series of puzzles to progress the game and the attempt at a charming story. The interface is rubbish, resolution is fixed, art style seems to be a kind of attempt at retro pixel, or maybe it's just badly done, it's hard to tell. The game displays 4:3 stretched, despite being made in 2016, so I don't know what the developers were thinking. Did they think most gamers were using 4:3 CRTs in 2016?

A beautiful and touching little interactive story told with many long cut scenes, that are separated by a variety of puzzle sequences and some brief exploration. 'Wanda a beautiful apocalypse', both recreates the events leading up to an apocalypse and tells the story of two survivors. The story sequences are not interactive, long and unskippable which may not be for everyone. The puzzles include Sokoban style puzzles, Portal style puzzles, co-op logic puzzles and timed typing sequences. There are collectables to be found during the short exploration sequences. I really enjoyed the story and most of the puzzles, but I really disliked the timed puzzles - I find them quite frustrating and not in line with the nature of the rest of the game.
