About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

I know it's not the original Bloodlines. I know it's a bit more linear. However, it's still a fun game in the WoD universe. You can be a nice vampire or a PoS vampire. That is still up to you. You can mix and match abilities from other clans. Lately, I've really enjoyed coming home after a long day at work and tricking people into following me into a back alley where I can drain their blood. How is that not enjoyable and relaxing ? Quick edit: Mr. Lemon is a great conversationalist.
NOTA 7 / 10.
Gameplay linear truly linear, exploration? do not expect it here. One would say when ancient elder appears in your city you be more.,..paranoid. or well something. Meanwhile they treat your character like flea on the window. I only completed game for the ending "A city Unchained" when main character leads the the city, because frankly, rest of them did really bad job at it. Do not reccomend
I have never played the first one but this one is relatively a great game. The character customization is lacking a bit but you can chose your outfit from a selection of suits. The gameplay is relatively easy and not difficult to learn but if you play some of the more challenging play style clans then it may be a lot more difficult. The story is engaging and allows you to make decisions that effect your relationships with the characters that are key to the main story.
It's fun. It has less bite than the original, but a better story. The gameplay is smooth, combat is dynamic and fun but character development abandons nearly entirely the source systems. Don't go into this game expecting Baldur's Gate 3. Go in expecting a fun action mystery that feels like Vampire The Masquerade, but plays very differently.
I like graphics, audio, what brings nice ,realistic mood. Can get in to the role ofa charecter. I dont like that there is not Item menu. Human abilities, like hacking, lock picking, side quest are all the same. Cant revisit locations. XP comes to easy. I think everyone wants to start from scratch and build character from weak to something. Cant manipulate with humans to gain stuff, so later can sell it to get some potions or guns, bullets, other stuff.
I haven’t played the first game, so I’m kinda judging without comparisons or nostalgia. At first, the atmosphere feels pretty good, but it quickly falls apart because of the many problems with the world. The city is completely empty: there is almost nothing to do besides collecting uninteresting collectibles. You have to travel everywhere on foot, and it becomes incredibly boring, even when running and jumping across rooftops. Another question is why there are so many people walking around in the middle of the night while the city is supposedly experiencing a “collapse.” The streets are somehow full of pedestrians doing literally nothing. The story seems interesting at first, but it quickly becomes tedious. There are moments when it feels like the game is about to give you an important choice, but then there is no real choice at all. Either there is no alternative, or the game simply makes the decision for you. Most of the lore is delivered through boring notes that I had no desire to read. The combat also becomes repetitive very quickly. The enemies, abilities, and encounters start feeling the same. On top of that, the game is constantly plagued by bugs, performance issues, and horribly laggy animations. The finishing animations drops FPS so it takes literally two frames. It’s absolutely ridiculous. The final insult is that support for the game has already been discontinued, so apparently nobody is going to properly optimize or fix it. However, the game has so many fundamental problems with its mechanics, world design, and overall structure that technical fixes probably wouldn’t be enough to save it anyway. As far as I understand, the original Bloodlines was mainly held back by technical problems. Here, the main problem is the game itself.
I enjoyed a VTM game with a good story. But I didn't carry over expectations from the first Bloodlines, a game which took many years to become a cult favourite.
