About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

Reviews
i really enjoyed the base game, despite its 56% rating score on Steam yeah, it's not an rpg but it's quite a fun game, the atmosphere is really nice and I found most of the characters to be enjoyable
The story of this game is really interesting, the voice acting is good and I like the mechanics but the game play can get very repetitive making it be boring in some places. The ending didn't feel completely done it felt rushed and like many plot lines where just spoke about in the epilogue when i would have liked them to be actually done in game. also i made no sense for the main antagonist to be naked in the final fight it was weird. overall its a okay game that had a lot of potential but the good things about it aren't capitalised on, like the vampire clans don't overall play a role in anything tho they seem like they should . It does also get boring after a bit and has very little replay value as all the endings are similar and u can get all the clans powers in ur first play through. I would recommend playing it as i did have fun but id get it when its on sale as its not worth the current price point
At this point I spent the better part of a week playing this game. I can say for a fact that it sticks hard to the source material of Vampire the Masquerade, showing the challenges of living as an elder vampire in a modern world. I can say I haven't found any glitches, the few combats I struggled with I found ways to complete without changing difficulty, and I feel the story, while relatively short, is rich and rewarding. The graphics of the game make it stand out and the slow burn reveal of the plot is excellent for those who crave that mystery itch. Pros -Good Graphics -Rich, detailed story -Accurate lore to the World of Darkness -Mild character customization across both physical build and abilities Cons -Some slowdown on older hardware -Occasional difficulty spikes which lead to repeated combats -Only one save file at a time -Codex entries are a must read to understand half the mechanics
NOTA 7 / 10.
Bottom line: it is good for one playthrough, buy it on sale. The game has interesting detective story and entertaining combat. You play alternating between talk-only detective Fabian and talk-n-fight Phyre. Both are vampires. Some people complain about Fabian sections, but I enjoyed them because I like a good story in addition to combat challenge. But replayability suffers: - Fabian sections replay exactly the same, and after you know who the villain is they become boring. There is no way to skip them. - With Phyre you can get some variability in combat by choosing a different clan, but the story - as it is the case with Fabian - unfolds exactly the same way. No dialog choices matter, all events unfold in the same succession. - To be honest, there are 3 NPC whose fate you decide and your dialog choices affect how much NPC like/dislike you, but the only thing that depends on this is which one of 6 endings you will get after final battle. [edit] There is a way to turn off Fabian story, after you finish game once. Just select custom difficulty.
I know it's not the original Bloodlines. I know it's a bit more linear. However, it's still a fun game in the WoD universe. You can be a nice vampire or a PoS vampire. That is still up to you. You can mix and match abilities from other clans. Lately, I've really enjoyed coming home after a long day at work and tricking people into following me into a back alley where I can drain their blood. How is that not enjoyable and relaxing ? Quick edit: Mr. Lemon is a great conversationalist.
Gameplay linear truly linear, exploration? do not expect it here. One would say when ancient elder appears in your city you be more.,..paranoid. or well something. Meanwhile they treat your character like flea on the window. I only completed game for the ending "A city Unchained" when main character leads the the city, because frankly, rest of them did really bad job at it. Do not reccomend
