About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

nah, slow paced conversations. after about 3 hours I simply ended and archived this game in the "nah-folder".
Really just a big disappintment
Gameplay is shockingly good but everything else is just slop.
I understand how many could be dispointed by this game. The rough edges are obvious to see and the game isn't really built around the vampire the masquerade system, but I throughly enjoyed my experience. The things that are good about the game are so good that the clearly bad things are almot charming as a result. The writing and voice acting is excellent, the gameplay is smooth and rewarding, and while it is silly that your clan choice mostly just decides which abilities you start with, you will end up playing the game around those abilities and choosing from the other clans which abilites augment that playstyle. Abilities of the same discipline of your chosen clan are cheaper than others so there is still a nod to the vampire formula. For those who enjoy first person action games and immersive sims I really do believe it's worth to give this one a chance
I hoped this would be a review like: "It's a solid game for people who can overlook the vampire the masquerade lore." Sadly it isn't. I lost interest in playing after crossing Seattle from one end to another only to have a short conversation one too many times. Or being asked to find collectibles. Also the combat was pure chaos for me and even reliably hitting enemies felt like a game of chance since there was a delay between "clicking" and hitting. The Character customisation felt unrewarding and having to run around sucking 10 people dry just to get another interchanchgeable skill feels like work. Wanted to like this. Shame
5.5/10 story is maybe an 6.5 or 7 if im super nice but the reality is its a rather fast game you can finish is certainly in one week if you want the fighting is a 3.5/10 completely rinse and repeat and most importantly the map is rather small so everything happens within the same 12 locations i bought it at discount and im not sure i would even recommend it discounted highly disappointed, coming back after finishing the game completely and altered my numbers slightly higher still feeling the same overall but i will atleast say not every class is the same i did find going back and replaying the game as another class was a bit more enjoyable but overall still severely underwhelming i feel like the game has potential but the short story nature and the chained combat just makes the project suffer
The game is far from as revolutionary as its predecessors, but it has a good grasp on the lore, great voice acting, entertaining quests and combat that does a good job of making you feel like the powerful elder vampire you're supposed to be. Also, the character's name is not as silly as it first sounds and makes perfect sense after the first quest.
