About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

The game is not so bad, but not at full price. If it goes on sale for 50% off or more, it's worth checking out. The main story is pretty good, but all of the side content is trash.
A great game that somehow feels rushed, even after all this time. I have not played many Vampire: The Masquerade games, so I'm not going to be particularily sensitive about adherence to lore or anything, and I had a great time with the premise and setting. The story was intriguing and I loved the different perspectives we get to see during gameplay. It took me 25 hours to finish the story after grinding to unlock most abilities, so anyone saying they finished it in less than 15 probably just didn't engage with anything outside the main story. Combat took a while to get used to, but once I mastered it it was very fun and engaging, even if it didn't really make me feel like a true elder vampire (though I suppose there are story reasons for that) The MOVEMENT though, oh my god I ABSOLUTELY ADORE it. Zooming over the buildings and streets makes you feel like a true vampire, and its incredibly fun, even if the map feels a little small. The visuals look a little dated maybe, but are definitely still pretty. As for the bad things, not much really. There are a few bugs which ranged from characters repeating their lines every time i walked past a spot, over fast travell making me fall throug the map repeatedly until I fast travelled again and enemies being stuck in a wall where you can hit them but they can hit you (happened multiple times, very annoying) all the way to a quest not advancing and locking out out of main story pogression, requiring you to potentially lose an hour or so of progress. Other than that the game ran well, but I recommend a few optimization mods, they REALLY helped my framerate. Overall, it's a fun detective action rpg that seems to respect your choices well, even if the ending was a little bland and we basically only get a very short 30 second narration of what happened.
Just completed my first playthrough. I did enjoy the games story, the occasional lighthearted noir vibe in parts was very entertaining. The combat was also good, especially late game. It really gave you that all powerful elder vampire feel. The game doesn't take on the rpg mechanics that the first one does. The most we get is a very basic skill unlocking mechanic. Which is unfortunate because I like that style of gameplay. Still, as a linear story driven game. I like it.
Really awesome VTM game! it is a linear story about a very interesting city rich with the World of Darkness lore
Dość fajna opowieść. Interesujący klimat. Walka w porządku. Mała mapa. Błędy takie jak wpadanie NPC pod mapę. Mało możliwości rozwoju postaci, zarówno jeżeli chodzi o umiejętności jak i customowanie wyglądu.
It is a good WOD/VTM game but a bad Bloodlines sequel. Gameplay, story, characters etc are all range from good to great, but it is not an rpg. This is not me being an rpg snob, it literally doesn't have RPG elements other than learning skills. Your dialogue choices mean almost nothing, they mostly deliver you to the same conclusion in each conversation. There are multiple endings though (6 of them iirc), which is a plus. Performance is really iffy and that's my biggest complaint about the game. My other big complaint is that while the characters are nice, they barely interact with each other. They only talk with you. I wish the game did more with them. If this was not called Bloodlines 2, I feel like people would've liked it more (and devs even begged Paradox to change the name but Paradox, as usual, didn't listen). I think it deserves to be given a chance if you are a WOD fan. Not as good as Bloodlines 1, but a good game nonetheless. 7-7.5/10, would've been 7.5-8/10 with better performance.
If you like RPG, a nice open world game, deep char customization, bloodlines 1 and VTMB. stay away from this game!
Is it perfect? No. But it absolutely fulfills the vampire power fantasy, and is an aesthetically beautiful game. If you're into vampire stuff, there really isn't a better game to scratch that itch than this one.
I bought this game looking for a farcry-like experience as opposed to an RPG experience thinking it would forgive the flaws I have seen in online critiques. That however was not much of an apology. I have really come to disdain the game in an odd way. The characters are either boring, annoying or cliche to the point of being annoying. The silly detective that is stuck in your head that has some of the more cringe-inducing dialogue I have come across. Not only that but a city that has absolutely no cars driving around while also claiming to be a bustling city is an full laugh and a half. One of the few fleeting redeeming factors are the combat and graphics. Me thinking the combat would at least keep me entertained throughout the games story was a farce. WELL the feeding animations for when you get a guy you have been beating on sometimes circles round to one in particular that makes me laugh every time I see it from how silly and cringe it is. After feeding on the guy you growl in his face and quite literally smack his head off with a karate chop. I will say the couple of boss fights I have done were fun so that is something. The graphics are indeed screenshot worthy, but in tandem with the few good qualities I still regret buying this even at half price. I like to think I have a decent set up and I cannot go around the map without constant and dramatic frame drops. Not a bad game but I would reccomend getting this if it was like $15 dollars because if I was to buy it at that price I would at least have another $15 to buy another game I was looking at: The Patrick Star Game TL;DR: buy the Patrick Star Game instead
like others have said, take away the name and this is a decent VTM action game. I will say don't worry about the side quests or "different" endings. pretty much the same ending with like 2-3 sentences changed.
