About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

I hoped that buying this game at half price would somehow make me appreciate the content, but it didn't help. I haven't played the first VTM, so I don't even have that "it was better before" bias. The game is simply awful: repetitive, the plot completely unaffected by player choice, the characters uninteresting. At a certain point, I installed Hunt: Showdown because I wanted a first-person game that actually made me feel something. What a huge shame; it could have been a good RPG or at least had a compelling story, but instead, it's just something that isn't even worth half the price for me.
small map no objectives easy to get turned around and lots of scavenger hunt missions 2/10 trailer pretty much lied about scale of the game do not recommend
I'm not usually one for writing reviews, but after finishing this one, I can't help but feel it's the victim of some bad press and marketing more than actually being a bad game. Is the game a real successor to Bloodlines? No. The gameplay is more akin to Dishonored than Bloodlines 1 or really any true RPG, but if you go into it knowing and accepting that? It's pretty good at what it wants to be good at. I personally picked it up on sale, and I'm not sure I'd say it's 100% worth the full price, but it's certainly a better experience than I'd expected after reading other reviews.
the story is good so far
As a fan of VtM, this game is so bad. OOOOOH MY GOOOD IT'S SO BAD. I wish they didn't make this. Which is sad, because ofther games made by this studio are cool. This one? Bad. The atmosphere is cool, but you can't even really enjoy it. The gameplay is so clunky that I had to put it on casual. Not because it was hard, but because it was rage baiting me in how uncomfortable it was to manage. Had to edit because I just got reminded about how bad the writing is too. Please just don't play it, for the love of God. Only reason why I'm going to continue playing this game is because I'm a VtM sweat. Just buy the first Bloodlines over this one.
太烂了,我真的很喜欢这个系列来着
I wanted to really like this game and give it a pity vote because developers The Chinese Room picked up a half made game and finished it off, so this whole game could have just been dropped, but we can thankfully all struggle our way through it if we so choose. I would guess the game was in development hell from being too big and ambitious, TCR picked it up and narrowed it down into a railroad storyline to finish it off.... Although the game has had some seemingly massive improvements since it's launch, it has a mostly enjoyable story, it has mostly enjoyable combat, it is weighed down by a lot of garbo. My extremely mid computer struggled with this one, even with tweaking settings and then trying ini fixes from Nexus. Most of the time the game would run smooth, then I would have stutters opening doors, different areas would have spikes of lag, sometimes in combat with multiple enemies I'd get a stuttering mess. The graphic settings reset every time I started the game back up.... to ultra settings? lol that's flattering but definately not for my PC. Very uncool. Do graphics make the game? Ofcourse not. You only need to step onto the dancefloor of the original VTM to understand that. Overall the story is good. You go between our present day Nomad vampire called 'Phyre', and the past detective 'Fabian', both with an interest in a string of murders, court politics, how did one vampire wake up with a deceased vampire's conciousness also with them? Great ideas. However, very stretched out and poorly executed in parts. In particular Fabian's story was about 50% running to NPCs. If you make a mistake in dialogue you sometimes needed to run back to an NPC to drink their blood and recharge your skill for Fabian's Malkavian powers of suggestion. Inbetween bouncing between two vampires, we then go into a dream state to walk up a field of sunflowers with a giant tree to reflect on the days events, such as vampires do. Also, Phyre, really??? This is a juvenile idea of a name with a double meaning for a vampire. The combat was another ALMOST saving grace. Some encounters, I felt like I needed some abilities and not the ones from my clan. It's cool you can mix and match, but you need to farm ability points from NPCs by CHANCE appearing on the map. So I grabbed three abilities out of the whole thing. You'd think maybe the RNG for these chance encounters would be better later in the game? Nope. Atleast I can say the entrancing kiss and blood daggers worked really well for my playstyle. Except... abilities are single use until you drink blood again. If you can disable a few NPCs in combat it can be done, otherwise you're hitting them with some ancient vampire karate or whatever weapon you can grab. I wanted to keep playing this game until finishing it because I like the story and the characters but, as they say in the gamer reviewing world ''it's got good bones but it needs more time to program''. I rate this Drake from Blade / 10
优化很拉,战斗以及开门莫名其妙卡,中文翻译有的时候也会消失,但是主线剧情合格,只适合剧情党体验血族
Play as an Elder and get treated as a fat stupid chud the whole time. Seattle doesn't look like itself at all.
