About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

Overall Rating: 6.8 / 10 I think I do this to myself. Going into Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, I let my imagination run wild. I never played the original game, so when I heard the pitch for this sequel, my head was spinning with ideas left and right. I had this grand vision of a dark, vampire-infused Cyberpunk 2077 or Deus Ex—a masterclass RPG packed with deep exploration, cool powers, and factions with choices that actually carried weight. Unfortunately, this game is not that, and I’m left feeling pretty disappointed. When I finally got my hands on it, I was honestly sitting there like, "What the ♥♥♥♥ is this?" The Reality Check It’s not a bad game, but "mediocre" is probably the best word for it. Everything just feels a bit dialed back from what it could have been: The Powers: They are just kind of eh. You’d think being a powerful creature of the night would feel incredible, but the execution feels a bit flat. The World & Choices: The depth I was hoping for—that intricate web of faction politics and impactful decision-making—just doesn't have the teeth I wanted it to have. The Verdict If you can manage your expectations better than I did, there is some fun to be had here. It’s a solid, functional title, but it absolutely does not live up to the massive concepts you might build up in your head. Recommendation: Do not buy this at full price. If you see it on sale down the line for around $30, pick it up.
I enjoyed it very much. It's a little all over the place, though; in my opinion, it's a 9/10 detective game stapled to a 6-7/10 action game. Because of my own personal enjoyment of noire detective stories and clan Malkav, Fabian carries this entire game on his shoulders. Probably not worth it at full price- this game is a AA game, not an AAA, and really should have been 50$ at launch- but for 50% off or more, you'll get a lot of good out of it. I really enjoyed the story, and thought it was worth sitting through some occasional tedious points in combat. The characters (Tolly, Sofia, Fabian) are very vibrant and alive, and some of the nods to VTM1 are nice (Nines, Jeanette & Therese, and La Croix all get mentioned in letters). All that said, do NOT expect it to be like Bloodlines 1. This game is called Bloodlines 2, but it is NOT an RPG. It is a narrative action game. Your choices (insomuch as there are choices) are largely irrelevant and the character customization has the depth of a puddle. It is all linear; there are no branching paths or other routes to solve quests, and your abilities and clan do not matter more than surface-level dialogue. I still think it is worth thirty dollars and 20 hours of your time. I'm nearly finished with my first playthrough at about 21 hours and when I'm finished, I intend to play through again on a lower difficulty to feel more like a badass elder god tearing through Kine and Kindred alike like wet tissue paper.
I don't really leave reviews, but in this instance I feel like I should. I see all the negative comments saying it's such a mess. I waited to buy it until this summer. I've paid attention to the updates and they have improved it a lot. Now you can wield melee weapons and they have a parry. Yes they should have a normal block in a game like this, but it's fine imo. Now the story is okay, nothing game breaking and it does have some issues, like the game freezing for a moment when entering/leaving buildings. I did not experience any other issues or game breaking bugs. There are some aspects of the game that does feel rushed, but I've played a lot of games and this is an okay game. I played the first one too and that one has a lot more diversity for multiple playthroughs, but this one isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.
Worth buying on sale and as long as you don't think of it as a sequel to original Bloodlines. The story, characters, hunting mortals, and city exploration are quite interesting and enjoyable, but the combat, stealth, and skill progression are not. It's in a better state now than it was at release with many QOL improvements, but I still ran into egregeious frame rate drop and some bugs. The save system is pretty awful so save manually often.
It's definitely not a successor to the original Bloodlines. It's not even an RPG. It's just another cookie cutter action adventure. Don't expect innovation and you may not be disappointed. With that said, the story, thus far, is pretty okay, though extremely linear. The acting is hit or miss. But there seems to be enough meat here to sink some time into as long as you keep your expectations on the lower side.
I think i'd recommend it as it is somewhat decent in my opinion performance wise not the greatest story was meh the interactions with fabien were the best and the chat among the flowers was the best part of the game combat is mediocre you don't feel like an elder unless you max every skill tree out and even then you still don't feel that powerful but i think i could recommend it just cause it's a masquerade game just get it on sale
It's not Bloodlines, but it's a really fun Vampire game. Pick it up!
games ist good. story, world, and arstyle, are. it's just not "bloodlines 2" but a good action adventure
Jeżeli więc nastawialiście się na pełnokrwiste RPG z tworzeniem, rozwojem postaci i wyborami jak w Baldurze, to sobie odpuśćcie, bo to bardziej telenowela w stylu The Last of Us z możliwością wybrania czasami innej linii dialogowej. Jeżeli jednak lubicie dobre dialogi i mocną fabułę to zachęcam do wypróbowania.
