About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

While yes, this is a good game, it does have its issues! But, overall, I had a lot of fun with it. The combat was fun, as well as traveling around the city as a vampire felt rewarding... when my computer could handle it. I have a gaming laptop and i am able to run larger games such as Baldurs Gate 3 relatively well, but this game CHUGGED. I recommend getting it on a ps5 or something similar rather than on steam, since the ps5 can probably handle it better. That being said, it was still a lot of fun, even if the lag did make it challenging at points. I also enjoyed the characters, even if some of them felt very 2d personality wise, and side quests felt lacking at times (they're mainly all fetch quests) so the game would benefit from more side quests that actually explore the characters. Maybe one trying to find out more about someone rather than running around the city for collectables. The romance could be expanded as well, maybe having more scenes? Rendered ones? It wouldn't have to be sexual in nature, but maybe something cute and soft. One thing i did not like, is the reusing of assets between Fabien and Phyre's playthroughs. While the dream sequences set in 2024 make sense that they're the same, it doesn't make sense to just add a filter to the 1920's dreams to make it appear different. It would also be nice to go to different places, rather than visiting the same ones you just did as Phyre. I still did enjoy most of them, however. I would've honestly liked more. Another con I personally have is the outfits. Im not the biggest fan of most of them, mainly about how they look. It could just be me. I also would've liked to be able to clean up the haven/change havens, as the game says its temporary. I would've also enjoyed a new game plus, especially since i had a lot of ability points by the time I had beaten the game, plus it feels nice to start "stronger" in a new save. That may just be me, though. One last con i personally have, is the fact NPC dialog gets repetitive for how often you hear it. I would've liked to hear more lines from pedestrians, or from Fabien's informants, which you have to talk to multiple times. All that being said, I did enjoy the game, and I plan on playing more as well as playing the DLCs. If you like vampires, like a bit of bioshock's combat system, and kind of a morality system, you'll like this game, even with its flaws.
Да хорошая она , просто судьба у нее тяжелая
The game is really fun, Its a great Vampire the masquerade game Although if you expect it to be like Bloodlines 1 , its not Its not a good Bloodlines game, but its a great Vampire the Masquerade game none the less. As long you Enjoy WoD and VTM in general, i think you'll like this game and have lots of fun
Never played the first game. I played on Hard Difficulty. This is an unbiased review. No real Spoilers in my review; the things I talk about will be explained or touched on within your first 20 minutes of playing.
Story
I've played the entire game and thought it was pretty good. There is a power struggle between clans and vampires that really helps you feel immersed in a city full of kindred. The story itself peaks interest, and the choices you make feel like they truly impact the game (though I've only done one playthrough). It genuinely feels as if I was the one making those choices. Do you want to be a dog to the hierarchy? Will you take over the power struggle yourself and become Prince? Are you true to your roots as a traveler? Will you destroy your relations after uncovering secrets you never knew? Man, the story is actually good—as good as you can make a vampire story, IMO. Not to mention the detective moments as well. Gosh, the story really wraps up nicely; everything comes full circle. The more you play, the more you know, and the more you know, the more you can start piecing the story together yourself.
Combat/Gameplay
The combat in the game feels good the first time you play it, and it feels even better the more you learn the little tricks. That said, at times the combat does feel clunky, but that's to be expected given the age of the game. I loved using the Telekinesis ability. It added a lot of variety to the combat, and being able to chain telekinesis into your moves feels amazing. Telekinesis can also utilize your environment to help with difficult combat situations. Your clan abilities are also very fun; they're powerful and make you feel like a true elder vampire. Combat did feel a bit stale in the mid-game until I decided it was time to switch up my abilities, then things got interesting. I could open my ability menu mid-combat to switch my powers to the situation I needed. (I understand opening a menu breaks immersion, but the fact that you have the option to do so makes it fun). Do you want to lurk in the shadows and take out enemies one by one? Does the situation call for carnage? You are not locked out of different playstyles; in fact, the game wants you to branch out. I remember I was fighting a group of enemies and wanted to take them out stealthily, but I made a mistake and swapped my abilities to a more combat-oriented build on the fly. Conversely, there was a time where I couldn't be bothered to fight and just used my abilities to sneak past them to the next area. The Detective The detective gameplay was mid. His abilities are cool until you realize you can only use them according to the story narrative. I disliked that restriction, although I understand why it's there. The detective portions are basically the "puzzle" aspect of the game. I found the story of the detective good, but the gameplay itself was boring.
Open World
This is where the game falls short. At first, exploring Seattle was cool, but it got old fast. Enemies constantly camp on the rooftops trying to kill you as you try to get to the next quest. That said, the game does make different factions fight one another, and that's neat! Running around, gliding, and sprinting up walls is still one of the best feelings in this game. I just found myself skipping encounters to get to the next quest. Part of the open world involves embracing mortals! This was a cool concept and I think they did a good job with it—you can use abilities to get mortals to give you the EXP you need, which is neat. That said, after you max out everything, feeding on mortals becomes pointless. But for an elder vampire, it fits the narrative well. The Masquerade is a mechanic that feels kind of like a wanted level system. It's there to stop you from being too aggressive and breaking the story narrative. Though it never really becomes a problem unless *you* are the problem... Once you get the hang of it, it becomes an afterthought.
It was cool to use Oblivion on a random civilian to traverse without breaking the mask.
COLLECTIBLES!! Nothing much to say—collectibles are collectibles, and they don't really even give you anything. Very mediocre. It falls short.
Graphics/Audio
The graphics are good for its age; I liked the way the game looked. Nothing to complain about there. THE AUDIO! Sometimes the voices of NPCs will mix up between male and female, which breaks immersion. Sometimes sounds would cut in and out (though that might just be my PC). The audio bugs weren't that bad to deal with—a quick reload fixes them—but it's still annoying when it happens, granted it doesn't happen often. The music, though, is amazing. I love the music in this game. They play it at the perfect times and it just matches the vibe of the story so well.
Replayability
They have a custom difficulty that allows you to skip the detective parts, which is great. I think there are enough clans to make it replayable; I'm on my second playthrough right now and I'm enjoying it so far. Definitely replayable. The side content is lacking, as there are not a lot of side quests. Still, making different choices is a good enough reason to replay the main story.
Summary
Pros: Immersive Story: A fantastic vampire narrative full of meaningful choices, distinct clan power struggles, and great payoff. Fun Combat: Powering up your elder vampire abilities (especially Telekinesis) and hot-swapping builds mid-fight feels amazing. Movement: Sprinting up walls and gliding around Seattle feels incredibly satisfying. Atmospheric Music: The soundtrack is brilliant and perfectly timed to the narrative. Cons: Tedious Open World: Exploring Seattle gets old fast due to annoying rooftop enemies, useless collectibles, and a feeding mechanic that loses value once you are maxed out. Boring Detective Puzzles: While the detective's story is good, his gameplay sections are highly restrictive and boring. Technical Jank: Clunky combat and immersive-breaking audio bugs (like NPCs swapping male/female voices). I Give this game (7/10) Worth Playing!
The Combat really ruined this game for me it's pretty sh!t. the story is kinda slow and it doesn't really make me care about the main character the way it should. I also did really care for the fact that alot of the character design from top to bottom felt very flamboyant to the point of feeling like the LGBTQ is forced down the players throat a bit.
Oh what could have been! This game is under-baked and soulless. The combat was initially fun but very repetitive with very little enemy variety. Story was passible but completely linear and some of Fabians tasks in particular were rather disrespectful of your time. The side-quests are removing graffiti or carrying packages. The characters were dull and one-note. The atmosphere is utterly non-existent. I think there's a reason why so many screen shots just Phyre in different outfits because there's precious little else to show.
Not an RPG
I just finished my first playthrough - as a Tremere - and I found the game very enjoyable. The main story was well-crafted with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. The main host characters were interesting and multilayered, and the discipline usage felt nice. Now, be aware that this is not a fully open world game - it is a narrative-driven progression with very little in the way of side quests (aside the repeatable ones from clan representatives). For the lore purists: like in Bloodlines, various accomodations and compromises have been made to the rulebook and the game is slightly less varied (though graphically better, of course); it only has one location map (downtown Seattle) and none of the other members of the WOD tenants (Mages, Werewolves, Ghosts) make it in game outside the occasional reference in conversation. Given all the negative reviews I thought this game was a lot less than it turned out to be, but - fair is fair - I did wait for a sizable discount to purchase it. The pull price (at time of writing) is indeed too much for a game this size.
I couldn't care less that this game is nothing like Bloodlines. It's an excellent vampire game.
I enjoyed this game. It took me around 32 hours including all of the side quests but not all collectibles, which is a little on the short side. The story was interesting as were the characters. Not sure where all the criticism came from although to be fair, I played it after several patches came out. Recommended, especially if you like vampire games.
