About
Step into Valor of Man, a turn-based roguelite RPG set in a world torn by ruin and revelation. Master the art of synergy as you discover and combine over 700 abilities, items, and game-changing artifacts. Forge your strategy and prepare for the trials ahead.
Build your party of four champions from 12 classic fantasy hero classes, each with distinct roles and playstyles. Unlock new class variants and loadout to customize your team before embarking on the adventure ahead.
Choose your path through procedurally generated chapters, where every step holds a risk or a reward. Will you rest, take a chance, or press into the unknown? Each run brings new encounters and discoveries. The full truth of this world is revealed only to those who return again and again.
Combat is built around a DnD-inspired turn-based system where every action is a contest of strategy, timing, and a touch of risk. With limited action points each turn, you must carefully deploy hero skills and items to create powerful synergies. Find the right moment to strike and unleash devastating blows on enemies while exploiting their reactive actions.
With each run, unlock new hero classes, uncover legendary artifacts, powerful new gear, passives, and abilities. Ascend through 10 increasingly brutal Valor difficulties. In this roguelite journey, death is not the end. It is a step toward mastery.
Valor of Man captures all the magical elements of a deep RPG campaign in pick-up-and-play sessions. All the high-stakes tactical decisions, morale party dilemmas, clutching critical blows, and heroic endeavours in the face of certain death, packed into a forever-replayable roguelite with sprawling horizontal progression.
Whether you seek challenge, lore, or the thrill of perfecting your strategy, Valor of Man offers a rich and evolving journey. Newly added to the game is the sandbox-esque Chaos Mode with customizable modifiers for the ultimate challenge and reward, and the new Mastery System recording each and every build option you have successfully beat a run with.
Prepare for your journey. The realm awaits.

結構なアセットゲーではあるものの システムが良くできていてSRPGとして面白い もうちょっと複雑なSRPGをやりたいがそこまで行く前にランが終わってしまうのが残念
absolutely worth the money.
Decent indie tactical roguelike game.
The "StS but encounters are tactical battles" is implemented perfectly competently here, but what really makes Valor of Man stand out are the unique mechanics that those tactical battles revolve around. In addition to the actions that they take on their turns, enemies have reactions that are triggered every time that they're the primary target of a player character's attack. This system is quite intricate and takes some getting used to (toggle the bestiary tab on and *read* enemy's abilities when you first encounter them), but it's a very compelling riff on the standard some-flavor-of-initiative-based turn ordering systems. The second major twist is that player characters can be eliminated from combat either when their HP reaches 0 *or* when their secondary resource ("courage") reaches 0. This resource can be reduced by enemies, but is more frequently reduced as a cost associated with the use of more powerful player abilities. This cost often only triggers some percentage of the time that a given ability is used, which speaks to my only substantive complaint about game mechanics to this point - much of the variance revolves around dodging low rolls on non-deterministic courage loss and/or enemy reaction triggers, and it seems like there might be a more elegant solution here than x% chance of outcome y (Larger courage pools with deterministic costs? Removing fail chance from enemy reactions and toning them down accordingly?). Overall Valor of Man is worth trying to see if the combat system clicks with you, and if the game attracts enough attention to continue development I would not be at all surprised to see some of the novel mechanics here show up in other tactical combat contexts.
Pretty cool...
Its good, solid and intelligent tactical roguelike. The reaction system is unusual, but its good to keep you on your toes, you have to be thinking. At highest valor levels its challenging.
I enjoyed this game more than I thought I would! Interesting linear story plot and nice replay value. Pros: Fun turn based combat. Game has good pacing. Good for playing in 30-60 minute time chunks. Cons: Enjoyed plot but the story was a little vague and the end was unclear to me. A little more detail would have been nice.
