Many many years ago there was a console called Intellivision. And on this console there was a game and that game was called "Utopia" This is not that game, but it did feel like a spiritual successor. I grabbed this one for nostalgia and the name as it is only $5.00 normal price and it turned out to be a nice game. Easy to play, relaxing and enjoyable.

Even though it is a bit of a stolen concept, remember: great artists steal. And Utopia is a fun game. The only thing is that one of the sound loops always reminds me of that song "Call Me Maybe", which is a horrible thing to remind people of. But otherwise, have fun with creating little townships and sprawling fields!

A decent time-waster, albeit excessively simple.

A very chill and satisfying game, and also rather inexpensive. It is not exactly hard through, so no challenge here, just a little relaxing building game. Perfect for wasting time during the quarantine :D

Utopia is a puzzle city builder that is extremely similar to the game Islanders that requires you to meet a certain score threshold to unlock new buildings to increase your score within each stages missions. Each building can either increase the score if placed alongside eligible buildings or decrease the score if they are not. In Utopia's case the islands come in menu missions with a final mission at each stage that requires you to complete specific objectives to unlock a unique building and complete the level. Islanders is the better game and has a better structure but Utopia is a cheaper alternative and outside of each stages final mission objectives wasting your time if you end up building a required structure before it appears in the objective list, Utopia can be a stress free experience. I personally enjoyed the game playing for 9hours but its building unlock structure was frustrating and as mentioned beforehand actually caused issues in completing each stages final mission. Due to the final stages objectives being mandatory unlike the basic missions, if you fail to complete the objective you'll have to restart and in some objective cases it will appear once you've already built a unique building such as the treasury thus causing you to restart even though you've reached a high score, gone beyond level 40 in island level, covered islands with buildings etc. I suggest getting it on sale even though it is cheap at $7, especially if you're a fan of Islanders as you may be disappointed.

Great little game, and 5$ is a reasonable price. Runs great, no bugs that i could see and isn't demanding graphically. Should run well on just about anything.
