Hikaye başlangıçta oldukça klişe bir slasher filmi gibi görünse de, dağda geçen saatlerle birlikte olaylar epey ilginç bir hal alıyor ve yerel mitlere kadar uzanıyor. Kelebek etkisi mekaniği ve seçimlerin ne kadar kritik olduğu bu oyunda çok net hissediliyor. Yanlış bir karar yüzünden sevdiğiniz ve bağ kurduğunuz bir karakterin acımasızca ölüşünü görmek, insana inanılmaz bir stres yaşatıyor. Eğer interaktif bir korku filminin içinde bizzat yaşamak istiyorsanız, tercih edebileceğiniz en iyi oyunlardan biridir. 2015 yılında, oyun PS4 için ilk kez çıktığı dönemde ne yazık ki oyunu oynatacak bir konsolum yoktu. Rastgele denk gelip internetten izleme fırsatı bulmuştum ve daha ilk dakikalardan beni anında içine çekmişti. Küçüklüğümden beri korku filmleriyle büyümüş birisi olarak, kendi kendime 'Başka ne arayabilirim ki?' demiştim. Şimdi, orijinal oyunun çıkışından tam 11 yıl sonra, bu yapımın 'Remake' versiyonunu bizzat deneyimleme fırsatı buldum. Aradan o kadar vakit geçmiş olmasına rağmen; oyundaki seslerin, müziklerin ve görsellerin nasıl değiştiğini hemen fark ettim. Unreal Engine 5 ile yapılan yeni grafikler ve o eski sabit kameralar yerine gelen omuz üstü kamera açısı atmosferi bambaşka bir seviyeye taşımış. Özellikle kulaklarım o meşhur 'O Death' müziğini çok aradı. Ancak bununla ilgili harika bir gönderme yakaladım: Sam jakuziden çıktıktan sonra biraz beklerseniz, odadaki müzik çalar bir süre sonra o şarkıyı çalmaya başlıyor. Şu anda bu yazıyı yazarken bile arkada oyunun müziklerini dinliyorum ve hâlâ etkisindeyim diyebilirim yıllar sonra bile aynı etkiyi yakaladı sizi de yakalayabilir. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim!

Normally I don't leave reviews, but figured I had to for this one. Stunning game, but literally unplayable due to a repeating crash save yourself the headache (for now). I really wanted to love this. The remaster looks gorgeous, the atmosphere and tension are GREAT. Then.. I hit Chapter 3, the scene where Mike and Jessica are in the cabin and the game crashes to desktop at the exact same point, every single time, no exceptions. I spent a few hours trying to fix it: verified game files, reinstalled DirectX, tried every launch option combo, disabled frame generation, cleared shader cache, disabled antivirus, checked Event Viewer for crash logs, reinstalled the PSN SDK component multiple times,.. Nothing worked. Until this gets a real patch, something I honestly doubt will happen at this point, I can't recommend picking it up because of this. Might even be worth buying up a PS3 with the original game just to prevent this from happening or if you're strapped on cash, watching someone else play it, as that, is definitely the way to go.
One of the best story games I have ever played, IMO better than RDR2 in terms of pure writing. 100% worth full price if you are not tight on money. Highly recommend

This game is an amazing recreation of an 80's slasher movie. You'll either love or completely despise the characters, and the effects are amazing. A few things worth noting: - The remaster is a mixed bag, as it seems to recycle the same animations from the original game within the new engine, which causes some rather extreme facial reactions from the characters at times. It's never too bad, and usually just comical, though it can be immersion breaking for others. - For controller users: When a quick time event (QTE) starts on screen, be sure to constantly wiggle the left stick, as the game will default to keyboard prompts otherwise and could cause you to fail by not displaying the proper button press. I wasn't able to find a way to resolve this in the options menu, other than having the game auto perform them for me, which wasn't what I wanted. Otherwise, it was a great game! Get it on sale if you don't plan to replay it more than once, though if you want to see everything, then I'd say it's worth full price.

Прекрасная интерактивная хоррор игра, лучшее творение этих разработчиков, всякие Dark Pictures и Quarry рядом не стояли, единственная проблема здесь - это её оптимизация, требования тут такие, будто это не коридорный игрофильм, а огромная опенворлд игра.
