Unbound: Worlds Apart

I am not very far into Unbound, which looks to be a decent puzzle platformer (does not feel like a metroidvania so far; am currently in a level that is basically VVVVVV), but I am recommending against it due to poor optimisation. It stutters randomly, sometimes while restarting the same checkpoint (where it doesn't seem like it should be loading anything), which makes it hard to play for a platformer that relies on precision. On first startup, the story cinematics take a while to load (a few minutes, here), they don't seem to load in the background and interrupt the flow. I have been playing on Linux, both native and with Proton. The saves didn't transfer. The performance looks to be the same in both cases. This is on an external HDD, and I will retry after finding space on my SSD, but so far this is a poor experience.

8/10 Es una historia interesante y las mecánicas de cambio de dimensión está interesante, no tiene jefes muy memorables pero entretenidos, si no buscas completarlo al 100% es relativamente corto, bien para pasarlo en unos días.

好玩的，画风是真的很喜欢，但音乐不太行，和画面不是很搭配，游戏性也不错 1.这个游戏主要的玩法就是跳跳乐，但难度不高。主线难度一般，两个试炼关卡有一定难度，属于是静下心来仔细观察就容易过，如果一直莽的话就很难过的类型。有些关卡对手速有要求，但不是很高。 2.有两个结局，但对成就无影响。一周目可以完成所有的成就。如果想要打坏结局的话注意不要把两个试炼都完成了 3.BOSS战的话都很短，你只要摸清BOSS机制就能过了，最终BOSS也是这样，耐心点打，别一直莽就都不难过 4.两个结局都打，外加全收集全成就的话大概10个半小时左右，有地图，而且地图上面的没探索区域很清晰，后期查漏补缺的话很容易 5.推图的时候可以直接去推主线，收集之类的等后期技能都有了再去就行，收集的东西只影响结局，别的都不影响。隐藏关卡地图上会显示为未探索区域，不用特意去找

One of my favourite Metroidvania/Puzzle-Platformers of all time. I bought it when it first released on Switch, and bought it again recently to replay on steam and it’s just as good as I remembered it. The platforming puzzles hit that sweet spot where the puzzles are difficult enough to make you think, but never so difficult to stop you in your tracks. You die in one hit, but the checkpoints are so frequent that it is never frustrating (except for in Vaija Heart). The only negatives for me is how short it is, and the Vaija Heart which had a couple sections that are brutally precise and excessively long compared with the rest of the game, however, this is only an issue if you’re going for the good ending. I highly recommend this game, especially when it’s on sale. I think it’s still worth it at full price as, although the game is short, it is extremely high quality throughout. Plus, there are still very few games which combine Metroidvania and Puzzle-Platformers, and this is one of the best imo.

Fun challenging game!

Elegantly blends a number of platformer styles (puzzle, precision, search action) into an enjoyable romp that clocks in at under 10 hours. The weak link here is probably the underwhelming boss fights, but the puzzle and movement challenges kept me entertained throughout.

This game is amazeball, kinda chill platforming game and enjoyable.
