Mute the in-game music and play the Pilotwings 64 OST.Hell yeah.
yes
really fun
Steam Link not supported currently, so I can't play the game. Changed my review to negative. Probably my favorite VR game so far. Great balance of sim vs arcade. Super easy to get started. Also some great role playing elements with levelling up and buying new planes and airports. Only complaint is that the difficulty ramps up quickly, sometimes jarringly, and repeating the same mission a hundred times gets old. I feel like super challenging missions should be optional or saved until the very end of the game.
Gostei muito do primeiro onde joguei no HTC Vive. Nesse não consigo nem iniciar o jogo (agora utilizo o VR PICO 4). Volto a análise assim q os devs lançarem um patch 🤷♂️
The first Ultrawings on Google Daydream VR is what got me into VR gaming, the game that motivated me to purchase an Oculus Rift S many years ago. Ultrawings 2 is simply better in every way. It is a perfect mix between a flight sim and an arcade game. I'd describe it as a very accessible flight sim with fun challenges. It's reminiscent of Pilotwings 64 in some ways: colourful graphics, simplified physics, lots of challenging objectives to get your gold medals. But still quite easy if you are satisfied with Bronze or Silver. I have yet to try the PVP experience but so far, the single player has been rock solid for me. At review time, I have unlocked a few aircraft including the helicopter, and a bunch of airports. The missions are diverse, each aircraft is very unique and play differently. The airports get you at different places including a city with skyscrapers eventually. There is sufficient variety in the missions as well. I like the fact that they can usually be completed well under 5 minutes, allowing for quick gaming sessions. The rocket plane and the helicopter will push the limit of VR controllers : you need a good deal of precision and timing to get the gold medals. But it is doable, even with my old trusty Rift S. This is definitely in my top 20 for the best VR games ever created.
More of what I loved about Ultrawings, but better.
There is not a better full dive VR Flying game in my opinion. I recommend Ultrawings 1 as well.
Ultrawings 2 is the best flight simulation game for the Meta Quest 3 currently. For me, it’s so good that I initially bought it here on Steam because it was cheaper, and then I purchased it directly from the Meta Store. I have played other games, but nothing compares to yours. The simulation is really good, enjoyable, and well-optimized for the Quest 3. Additionally, it has a satisfying set of missions, which is hard to find in games of this genre for the Quest 3.
Great fun for an arcade style flight sim. Very smooth game play. Great improvements on graphics compared to the original. HOTAS controls work great. I use Thrustmaster 1600 and TWC.
