This game should be marked as Early Access, because it's clearly still in Alpha stage. I can't imagine it has received any serious QA efforts, as its bugs and glitches are plentiful. Just get in a boat (something the game forces you to do to progress), and witness the boat routinely becoming unresponsive to control inputs, sailing into enemies that will destroy you and cost you all your saved currency. On top of it the game, which should be open world, is in effect very linear due to how it forces you to progress. It clearly just a vehicle for cosmetics, and other predatory microtransaction mechanics. Frankly it should be banned from Steam. It's barely a game at all tbh.
We bravely fought a frost giant for 15 minutes straight. He had 2% HP left. Then he sneezed and killed us all. Peak Viking gameplay.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you enjoy playing games where you cycle between hacking and slashing through a ton of mobs to level up and learn new skills, gathering resources, building and upgrading your base, crafting armor sets and various weapons, and going after bosses for good loot, then you'll love this game.
The premises of this game is good, but the actual gameplay is outright horrendous. 100% friend slop type game as well Would not buy ever again Also, I do not recommend Don’t waste your money
𝚃𝚛𝚒𝚋𝚎𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝙼𝚒𝚍𝚐𝚊𝚛𝚍 𝚎́ 𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚛𝚒́𝚟𝚎𝚕 𝚙𝚛𝚊 𝚓𝚘𝚐𝚊𝚛 𝚌𝚘𝚖 𝚘𝚜 𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚐𝚘𝚜!!!
𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙖̃𝙤 - Pra concluir, O jogo vale a pena?
Tribes of Midgard, developed by Norsfell and published by Gearbox Publishing, is an ambitious genre blend that mixes survival crafting, action RPG combat, and cooperative base defense into a time-driven Viking adventure. Rather than following the slower, open-ended pacing typical of survival games, it builds its entire structure around urgency. Every session feels like a race against an approaching catastrophe, and that constant pressure defines both the game’s most compelling moments and its most divisive qualities. Set in a stylized interpretation of Norse mythology, the game places players in the role of Einherjar—warriors tasked with protecting the Seed of Yggdrasil from the encroaching forces of Ragnarök. The central loop revolves around a repeating day-and-night cycle. During daylight hours, players venture into procedurally generated biomes to gather resources, craft weapons and armor, and prepare their village for the inevitable assault. When night falls, the tone shifts dramatically as waves of enemies attack, forcing players to defend the settlement and its vital core. This rhythm creates a satisfying contrast between exploration and defense, giving each in-game day a clear purpose and momentum. Mechanically, the game layers multiple systems on top of one another. Resource gathering feeds into crafting, which supports combat effectiveness, while base upgrades and NPC management influence how well the village can withstand attacks. Players must constantly decide how to spend their limited time—whether to explore further for better materials, upgrade defenses, or assist teammates. This balancing act becomes more intense as days pass and enemies grow stronger, eventually culminating in encounters with massive giants that march steadily toward the village. These moments add a sense of scale and urgency, forcing players to coordinate and act decisively. Cooperative play is where Tribes of Midgard feels most complete. Designed for groups of players working together, it naturally encourages teamwork through its interconnected systems. One player might focus on gathering resources, another on crafting, while others prepare defenses or hunt powerful enemies. When coordination clicks, the experience becomes dynamic and rewarding, with each player contributing to the group’s survival. However, this reliance on cooperation also exposes a weakness—solo play or poorly coordinated groups can struggle significantly. Without shared responsibility, the game’s escalating difficulty can feel overwhelming, making progression more frustrating than satisfying. The game offers different modes that shape how this loop is experienced. Saga mode provides a structured, session-based format with clear objectives and an eventual endpoint, emphasizing replayability through repeated runs. Survival mode, on the other hand, allows for a more open-ended approach, giving players greater freedom to build and explore without the same level of time pressure. While these modes offer variety, the core experience remains largely consistent, and over time, the repetition of gathering, crafting, and defending can begin to feel familiar. Visually, Tribes of Midgard stands out with its vibrant, stylized art direction. The colorful environments and character designs contrast with the apocalyptic themes, creating a world that feels lively despite the constant threat of destruction. The visual clarity also serves a practical purpose, ensuring that combat remains readable even during chaotic nighttime battles. The audio design complements this, shifting between calm, exploratory tones during the day and more intense, urgent cues during enemy assaults. One of the game’s most notable design choices is its strict pacing. The day-night cycle moves quickly, leaving little room for hesitation or experimentation. This creates a sense of constant momentum, but it can also feel restrictive, particularly for players who prefer a more relaxed or exploratory approach. The learning curve can be steep as well, with multiple systems introduced early on and limited guidance on how to manage them effectively. For newcomers, this can make the initial experience feel overwhelming. Despite these challenges, Tribes of Midgard succeeds in offering something distinct within its genre. It transforms survival gameplay into a structured, cooperative challenge that emphasizes efficiency and teamwork. While it may not fully satisfy players looking for long-term progression or deep variety, it delivers memorable sessions when played with the right group and mindset. In the end, Tribes of Midgard is a game defined by its pace and its cooperative focus. It offers a unique take on survival mechanics that rewards coordination and quick decision-making, but its demanding structure and repetitive loop may limit its appeal for some players. For those willing to embrace its urgency and play with others, it provides a lively and engaging experience that stands apart from more traditional survival titles. Rating: 7/10
