I played through it once and I definitely plan on playing through it again. I absolutely loved this game. It is so creepy and mysterious and the color palette/visuals are truly gorgeous. It's like a laid-back cyberpunk setting. I really loved everything about it. So many mechanics are unconventional but they are intuitive somehow. Not sure how to explain it. The way in which you interact with the world is innovative and awesome (innovative to me, at least). Something about this game juts clicks with me. It may require a tiny bit of patients but overall it was excellent from beginning to end.

Trackless is not a perfect game, but as an experience, I really enjoyed it. Although the endings are a bit of a letdown, the whole journey to The Object is worth taking. There are VERY good reasons for this. The biggest one is that Trackless shows that there is still so much unknown ground to explore in video gaming. There is just nothing quite like it in terms of gameplay, art design, environments or storytelling. It is simply a pleasure to explore the great looking environments, meet some people, listen to some ambient tunes and continue your journey. Now, for all the good that Trackless does, there are some misses too. The puzzles are basically just typing the verb of the action that is needed to interact with the object. At its best, this is an engaging way to connect with the gameworld. At its worst, this is an annoying way to make the player guess what the designer was thinking. Even native speakers might cuss at some spots. Also, the walking speed is frustratingly slow. Which is made worse by the fact that you can get an upgrade just when the game is about to end. It is a real kick in the ding dong kind of design. This game is a treasure. Despite it shortcomings, I liked it a whole lot. I will give it a perfect score, because it inspired me to step into the unknown. 5/5

cute
It's slow going in the beginning, but after that you get the hang of it. Definitely worth playing.
What a nice little gem. The graphics remind me of the good old days and the story, characters, set pieces and especially the ambient is quite original, surreal and relaxing. The text parser is a nice interface, though occasionally it is a bit of too much word guessing, especially if English is not your native language. With about 6 hours of gameplay, the 'pilgrimage ' is just long enough to satisfy and not overstay it's welcome. The normal ending is bit too much 'so, what did you get out of it'. The secret ending is much more intriguing. If you are into experimental games, definitely give this one a try
