The game brings a fresh new take on the city building/management genre by introducing many RPG features. In Towns you manage a settlement on top of an active dungeon. Instead of playing the hero who delves deep into the dungeon, how about playing the town that houses and caters to the hero's needs?

In mid 2010s I bought this game. I sunk many hours into this game through some difficult times in my life so theres a special place in my heart. I would revisit every few years. the game has recently given the source code out. which will revitalize the game. I strongly encourage playing this game if you enjoy town builders.
Source Code Released
Really? You ghosted your customers since 2014, and come and act like you are doing a service to us by finally releasing the source code, and demanding that people pay 5 euro on abandonware. The audacity.
This was a good game it just needed some love to make it work when late game things got more complex
i enjoyed it. its like playing Starcraft, Dungone Keeper or similar. except laid back and casual. was the most laid back game of this type of ever played. can't believe i never reviewed it
Abandoned!
The code has been made open source for all to continue the legacy of this great game! Come join in the glory of Towns!
It's rotten that Valve permits abandonware to continue to be sold YEARS after development ceased. (But I understand, line goes up right?) If anything it should just become freeware after a certain amount of time.
Thought I'd give it a go as it looked cool, thought the negative reviews were overblown, but the game isn't that good either. Controls are a little janky, certain things that make quality of life like continuous building after letting go of the mouse click instead of continuously clicking the option each time you missclick. One song that repeats on loop that gets annoying really quick. A tutorial that doesn't make sense & is also hard for me to understand what I do wrong. I can see it being a good game & some people enjoying it, but not for me. 3 / 10 edit: I understand it is an abandoned game, that isn't a reason to give it negative reviews nor a reason to call for it to be free like it's "abandonware". Get a grip
Nice little game, pity it was discontinued.
