Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Break free of the grid in Town to City: a cozy city builder that invites you to create a beautiful and bustling community.
Freely place houses, shops, and amenities and natural elements to delight your residents and encourage new families to move in. As your population grows, so can your ambitions: create multiple towns that can grow alone or thrive together, helping the whole region develop and prosper.
In story or sandbox mode, you're free to build at your own pace, placing each flower bed with pixel precision, or prioritise growing your economy and developing your town into a thriving city.
Truly grid-less building sets you free to lay out your town however you like. Plan out carefully ordered rows of houses and city districts, or grow outwards organically with residences, amenities, parks and plazas connected by winding streets and alleys. Freely shape the land beneath your feet with terraforming tools for elevation, water, and terrain.
Beautify your settlement to your heart's content with a plethora of customisation options. Set up lighting, plant flowers and wooded parks, and decorate houses and buildings to complement or contrast. With gorgeous voxel graphics as a base and plenty of tools for fine-tuning, it's easy to create something beautiful that you'll want to capture with the in-game photo mode or stroll through in first-person view.
As your town flourishes, you’ll need to meet the needs of your growing population. Provide amenities that will cater for everyone – from workers to artisans and the bourgeoisie – alongside specific requests by individual residents. Get to know each person as they arrive in town, and watch them settle down to form new families in the homes you built for them with pets and livestock by their side.
Assign workers to jobs, research new buildings and decorations, and boost your sleepy settlement into a bustling centre of commerce. As you expand beyond the bounds of your first town, you'll pursue new developments in farming and tourism by building new towns, all connected by trade and travel routes.

An overall great game! Unique art style, wide variety of buildings and decorations, AND excellent tools that make it easy to put all of the different elements into play. Town To City does a great job of letting you set your own pace. You can coast gently along and fuss over incredibly minute details, but there is also a campaign with clear objectives to focus on. And if you continue to build well and make your citizens happy, new arrivals come at an increasing pace that can add some challenge if you decide not to simply take your time and ignore them or turn them away. One feature I particularly liked that I don't think I've ever seen in a city builder is the "Requests" that residents will send to the Mayor's House... The game has a LOT of different buildings and decorations, and having so many choices might feel a bit overwhelming for some people. But the Requests serve as a great way to introduce you to all of these pieces you're working with and show you creative/imaginative ways to use them. If you work to fulfill all of the Requests and nothing more, you'll have some truly unique areas in your city. But they're also a great inspiration for using the game's structures in your own new and inventive ways. Managing your citizens' needs is not too easy or too difficult. You can make a functioning community with little effort, but if you want to achieve certain milestones and get the accompanying rewards then there's a fair bit of complexity in how you set everything up. The campaign is also unique among city builders. It takes place over three separate maps and serves as a gradual introduction to the game's features, but there is also interplay BETWEEN the three communities as you progress further. Crops grown in one city can fuel commerce in another; hotels in one city will take in tourists from the others. Your campaign progress is saved across all three locations, and making progress in one will make you want to revisit the others for a new playing experience. Based on what I've already accomplished, I'm guessing that the campaign is about 30+ hours if you're moving at a steady pace... And then if that isn't enough for you, Sandbox Mode already has a wide variety of maps available. I followed the game during Early Access before buying, and I saw that the dev team was very consistent with its timeline and goals, so the roadmap for future content looks promising. Worth it! Worth it at full price, worth it on sale.
🌷General: After now playing for a good amount of time, I ADORE this game. I enjoy building sim games, and I think this one is very well done. It has lovely art style. I love the focus on managing villagers' happiness instead of managing a super tight budget. I'm still on my first campaign but the pacing (money earned ~ money needed for building) is great. Still feels rewarding, but working towards decorations and cooler buildings is way more rewarding than waiting for the budget to recharge (like in other games). 📖 Plot: I love the little quests of the people, though I wish that this part was a little more complex and overarching (multiple interconnected quests). I loved some of the quests that led into one another and made the world more emotional complex. In the future, I'd love to not only have a day-night cycle, but maybe specific (maybe even custom!) holidays where villagers gather at specific locations / use specific decorations / show specific behaviour. 🛠️Some smaller Issues: - When placing decorations on uneven terrain, there is sometimes glitching with the texture (I've seen this with the stone pergola most). - I think the restriction on the length of straight-road placement is quite annoying. - The routes for hotels are a hard thing to manage, especially if you do multiple different routes. I don't want to be nit-picky but considering villagers have no issues walking across the entire map to their workplace, their endurance should be able to handle more. (Or maybe let us free-place the starting spot, so they get there with a horse carriage or something). - I would like for the water brush to also get a square / alined brush to create canals. I would like too if water that continues down a cliff formed a waterfall. - I'd like for streets on higher inclines to generate stairs. 🌃 The "end game" when having unlocked most decorations is fun, but I think to keep players returning, there's probably some need to keep expanding that system with more cities and kinds of buildings. Also, I (since the recommended limit of 1000 people per city) I wish there was an option in late-game to upgrade the type of houses to another type which would also upgrade the people inside. It would be much nicer that having to demolish the house. Overall a lovely game, feels very lively and lovingly made. Also a nice, very creative community from what I saw.
Awesome cozy game. This game really surprised me by the gameplay. I tought it will be another city build game buuuut it's way different. The way you have to research things before unlocking them makes it really fun. But the price is a little high.. 9/10 <3
Very cozy and creative, with a wonderful soundtrack
