Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I have to say, I am mid way through TR2 and this has been a dream come true. I play the TR games since I am very young, introduced by my father, so not only has this been a come back to my childhood, the remasters are genuinly good. Personally, I really enjoyed how you can toggle between the classic and updated graphics, if you want that fully nostalgic feel. Also the controls, although to new people coming into the franchise I know can be challenging to understand, win a big point for me, this truly feels like I am playing the same games, only made better. Happy to say this remaster did not stray from the original tomb raider games, and as an enjoyer of the older style I hope to see new games in the next few years that come back to the exploration and puzzle solving challenges we all used to love and made this series what it is. P.s. As a linux user, super happy I can seamlessly play these games.
Now the joypads work in TR1 it's perfect. The music, my word - such memories.

Put me in town's square and get your tomatoes ready because you're not gonna like what I'm about to say. And because this is 3 games, this will be a much longer review than usual. This is my first time playthrough of this trilogy and undoubtedly my last. Did I enjoy it? Hmm, not really. Can I honestly recommend it to any average person in the modern era? Definitely not. Going from the 2013 trilogy to this is like going from snowboarding to trudging through quicksand. And I'm not saying "durr old games suck" because there's hundreds of examples of fluid responsive games from the 90's that didn't feel like you were constantly fighting the game itself. However, it's a great remaster as far as remasters go . Which is why I'm hesitant to give it positive. It does the original game justice and improves on how it looks and runs, boosting framerate from 30 to 60+ across more than just obvious performance, but across all animations as well. It looks amazing. If you were a fan of the originals then you'll love it far more than I did. I just found the gameplay personally to be pretty exhausting. And the fact that the devs aren't fixing a small yet glaring emersion-breaking bug, it's just annoying enough to swell into extremely annoying 4+ hours later. Modeling details are some of the only worthwhile changes level to level and not being able to see them all is a major blemish to the whole experience. Snatching onto ledges is satisfying when it actually works. Managing to fight off enemies without losing hp always feels great. Sometimes the traps or platforming is survived by a quick execution of movement combos in succession--which is rewarding. My main issue is that there is an incredible amount of bloat to mundane things. Every complaint I ever see about criticisms of old games is that "people have no patience these days" or "tiktok attention span brain rot" or whatever have you. But let's be completely fkn real for a second here. Pushing and pulling large blocks takes way too long for how many times you have to do it. Picking up items has to be precise and the animations again take forever. Pulling a hundred switches and pressing just as many buttons in every level. It becomes extremely monotonous. Climbing ladders... ugh... why is it all so much slower than real life? When mechanics in a video game take longer to do than in real life, the engagement factor becomes almost completely lost on me. I genuinely want to see an argument for exactly why a game should ever be that way. All that prolonged trivial stuff adds up to becoming a significant portion of game time. Put me on the chopping block if you have to, but I want to play as an athletic explorer, not an old man with arthritis 80% of the time. At least have options: Quicker animations for normal people, or the original slow ones for the stubborn who prefer the rust that has aged quite poorly. Don't even get me started on buttons and keyholes that are chameleonized to the texture behind it, making them almost impossible to see. Much of the platforming requires running jumps off a 1x1 block platform. This wouldn't be an issue if the game didn't eat your input unless Lara has taken 3 steps already. Of course there's a way around this by using unintentional input exploits, but that shouldn't be required for the average person. It feels much more like a flaw in the creation process at the time. And the technology was more than available at the time to not make it fkn suck ass. I'd say more responsive mechanics is another one of the few things that should've been implemented and toggleable rather than 100% true to the original. There is an option to change to modern controls, but because it doesn't further extend to modern mechanics and physics, it's actually a far worse option and you're better off using the original tank controls. The level designs are quite ambiguous at times. And by that, I mean most of the time. I'd say the great amount of environmental detail was one of the only redeeming qualities to me. Which is especially apparent in TR3. Yet graphics don't make a game. Now for that bug I mentioned earlier. There is a 100% inevitable bug currently that causes Lara to permanently have her wetsuit on after an early level in TR2. It not only persists all the way through the rest of that game but also somehow throughout the entirety of TR3 as well. No mod can fix it and the only way to, is to wipe your save by reverting back to an older version of the game which is a lot to ask if you didn't know to do that before installing, especially when the games are 14+ hours in length each. I'm not wiping my progress for that but I'm also not happy either. For specifics I'll say what I did like, but Tomb Raider 3 especially left a horrible taste in my mouth. Tomb Raider 1 - 5.4/10 Encountering velociraptors for the first time was unexpected and I loved it. Same with the T-Rex. In fact, I'd say any time a boss health bar appeared I got excited because it meant I could just fight something instead of navigating. Combat takes some getting used to, but it's much more freeing than the endless claustrophobic labyrinth that is this trilogy. I especially liked how far TR1 took supernatural elements, even well past safe boundaries. The mummies and the final level itself are actually insane decisions and quite bold for a game about raiding tombs and yet those ideas were actually executed far better than I expected. Tomb Raider 2 - 5.6/10 The most memorable part of TR2 was when Lara sneaks aboard the enemy boat and loses her gear. Having to run away from attacking enemies without any weapons and having to use the enemies to your advantage was really creative. The introduction of breakable windows was neat. TR2 is by far the most innovative in this trilogy even though it adds hardly any new mechanics. Didn't really care for how much water was in it, though. Tomb Raider 3 - 3.6/10 The introduction of crouching, rolling, crawling, and sprinting are all things that should've allowed for a far greater spread of different puzzles and challenges. If only it was given more than 8 seconds of thought. Some new obstacle ideas, but then repeated endlessly. A complete waste of potential. TR3 by far has the strongest first level. Right off the bat I was actually excited for once because of how great it looks. Unfortunately after the first world, it takes a complete nose dive in level design. Almost every level in TR3 was completely asinine. A horrible amount of backtracking, abandonment of logical progression, terrible puzzle design, awful visibility, extreme lack of cohesion, and most importantly: almost zero linearity. The London levels were some of the worst video game levels I have ever played in my entire life. I'm talking long climbing and parkour sections that have to be backtracked through entirely a minimum of 3 times--and that's only if you know what you're looking for. ---- I love Tomb Raider as a franchise, but this trilogy is agonizing for the vast majority of the time I spent playing it. If you're already a fan of the originals, then yeah, obviously get it. But if this is your first time getting into Tomb Raider and you don't know where to start, then I very strongly recommend not starting here. My overall experience: 4/10 Remaster quality: 7/10
Being able to save on command in the first game is poggers
