About
A small adventure with a big story. Theropods takes around 2-3 hours to finish. Perfect for an afternoon or a relaxed weekend.
Wordless point-and-click adventure — no dialogue, no subtitles, just animation, sound, and visual storytelling.
An unlikely friendship in a hostile world — a wordless story of bravery, trust, and survival.
Brains over brawn — outsmart dinosaurs, distract barbarians, and puzzle your way out of deadly situations.
A vivid prehistoric world — trek through jungles, valleys, canyons, caves, and wild dinosaur territory.
Gorgeous hand-drawn pixel art brought to life with cinematic frame-by-frame animation.
An immersive soundtrack blending tribal rhythms with eerie sci-fi synthesizers.
A glowing stone crashes from the sky into a young hunter’s village. Its arrival draws a bloodthirsty tribe, who attack the settlement and enslave her people.
Barely escaping into the jungle, she discovers the stone’s true origin: a stranded spaceman whose damaged pod depends on it.
Together, this unlikely pair must cross dinosaur-infested lands to free her tribe and find a way to send him home.
Theropods is a classic point-and-click adventure built around visual logic. Watch how characters move, how creatures behave, and how each scene changes as you poke, prod, and experiment.
Instead of fighting your way through danger, you solve your way through it — distracting predators, avoiding enemies, triggering reactions, and finding clever ways past situations too dangerous to face head-on.
Theropods replaces dialogue trees, long conversations, and text walls with gestures, expressions, sound, and visual storytelling. The story unfolds through action: what characters do, what they notice, and what changes around them.
With no subtitles or text-heavy exposition to translate, the adventure is built to be understood by players anywhere in the world.

Utterly charming! Beautiful art, wonderful music and sound design. Really enjoying it! Surprisingly dramatic and emotional too!
Short, sweet, super fun. Pretty much the perfect game. Well done, Lost Token!
Big recommend for this one! This game goes hard! They really don't pull their punches on the story. Even told without dialogue you feel for the characters. Gorgeous background art you just want to soak in, and wonderful quirky characterful animation brings it all to life. Music slaps too! Puzzles remind me of the gobliins games somehow, little toyboxes where you poke and prod observing what happens until you can figure it out. Though I never got far in those games, whereas Theropods is balanced so you're never puzzled for long.. I'm in one of the last chapters now, and don't want it to end! So I'm putting it down for tonight so I can savour the rest later, but wanted to drop a review because I'm loving it!

I played the original flash game version on Newgrounds back in 2015. It was pretty fun back then. Though I wish they brought back the Witch Doctor from the first game (I think the part towards the end is a reference. But it's not quite the same). My only real complaint is that whenever I got stuck, I resorted to clicking on almost everything (Moreso on the map with the Triceratops). Other than that, it's a good game with a charming story & ending.
This game is a scam, definitely not worth 15€ more like 5€. For a 20k € budget (kickstarter) and 7 years of (alleged) development, this is absolutely horrendous. The music is nice but that's about it. The art is not bad but not somewhat amazing either, it's decent at most. Also there's this annoying motion blur that you cant turn off so when anything moves its blurry even thought its just pixels. Horrible. The game is super short, I did it in like 2 hours, some people even faster, the puzzles are confusing because items keep spawning in areas you already were in, and the hitboxes often don't work so you get confused because you already tried the thing but it just didn't work. Overall I can't recommend this, was hyped by the trailer but the story is pretty bland and it feels rushed. It also seems like they scrapped a lot of content shown on kickstarter, or they just made it up so people were more hyped. Also on their kickstarter they say "An adventure game full of dinosaurs!" while there's like 5 dinos, out of only one appears more than once. What a joke. For 7 years and 20k I'd expect way more than this, feels more like a school project than a finished product to be honest. SPOILER ALERT Also the devs botched the alien because basically like in the third level it gets revealed it's not really an alien but just some woman from another planet or whatever. Why? And in the end the woman just stays with the tribe instead of looking for her son and husband or whatever the story was. Wtf? I honestly believe the devs wanted to do more but run out of ideas or just simply lost the passion for the thing and rushed it so it's complete.
I have mixed feelings about this game. It looks decent. The pixel art is sometimes cute. The story is very basic. It is basically the Primal series but without the dino companion, and it is less bloody. Less, but still bloody. Don't get fooled by the charming aesthetics. This game is not PG-13. Your mum is eaten in front of you, your village is massacred almost in front of you, your friend is almost eaten in front of you, and some minor child abuse just to top all of that. The game design is lazy. You are always presented with a new area to solve, but the puzzles are repetitive; there are not many clues, so you brute-force most of them. A lot of them are timed, which is frustrating. Also, sometimes you have to click multiple times on the same thing just to see the result. I think that is because the game is short. It is only 2- 2.5 h long and needed some padding to make it longer. At least they leave out the red herrings. But at this price, I expected more. Still, I can recommend this on sale. It was an interesting experience. For the Woof achievment:
At the beggining of the game, after the old lady drop her vaze, greet multiple time the apple eating sitting man next to her until the dog appear

Follow us for more Awesome Adventures!
Wonderful game ! I loved everything, the VOs, the story, the chars and environment, gameplay .. found it intuitive as well as inspiring. Highly recommended to all adventurers and lovers of this genre !
Full disclosure, I am a Kickstarter backer of this charming little point and click game. All that said, Theropods is a far cry from games like Unavowed, Monkey Island or even Darkside Detective. It's baby's first point and click. A one and done game that took me 3 hours to complete. The two main solutions are, do a thing 3 times or do thing within time window. The latter wouldn't be so bad if the inventory didn't take up most of the screen. There were times where I knew what to do and was correct but had to frantically click as the game just wouldn't acknowledge the input being made. This often led to the "I've already tried that and it did nothing" moment only to spend many frustrating minutes trying other things to only then try it again, this time more aggressively, and it would work. Outside of that the story is shallow and predictable. The only moment of interest was a bait and switch that kept things in the realm of boring predictability.
The Alien turns out to not be an alien but a black woman with the classic "lesbian" haircut.
Not sure why they did this but it was a dumb move with something that could've been so much more but the creators lack any real imagination. I would not recommend even if you do like point and click, there are so many more worthy of your time.
