A- Going all the way back, I have been a Telltale fan since even before Sam and Max reboots (favourite adventure world of all time.) In 2013, I was so excited to delve into the world of TWD in their vision and boy was it great and fresh. Eventually TWD in general for me became quite tiresome primarily because I felt a lot of choices that key characters made were not reflective of their character. One of the primary features that this game is set apart from others is that, for the most part, your choices do have consequences (and often unforeseen.) This entire concept we need more of in games particularly I like it for only narrative heavy games. The TT TWD series fell off my bucket list somewhere around 2017 when i bought season three but I ended up fully dropping interest in TWD completely. I always loved Lee and Clem and their story and had always intended to come back...it just took me quite a while to do it. With this version, I tried but wasn't able to reimport most of my saves but I did remember a large portion of my choices and last year I made a plan to finish the last two seasons. I'm very glad I did because it definitely brought a part of closure to Clem and AJs journey. This version I think was done very well and is very nice to have as one install for new players. The sharpness of the graphics even today look pretty good and unique. My major complaints of the the interface of the game was always such a low FOV and mouse responsiveness but not that big of a deal. While I despise QTEs (I'd rather just not have them ad all and treat it like a movie), there are not a ton of them and they're easy. Without spoilers, my biggest complaint of the finale was really Episode 3 and 4. There are a couple things that happen which serve as major forks in the road that to me were far to binary choices. In the moment, I couldn't thought of at least several other viable solutions that were obvious but were not presented to us to choose forcing us to make a decision that had superb impact. While most of the TT series was not like this, this was akin to many of the character choices in the TV show that made it seem so ridiculous and implausible. For the ending of the TT series I'm specifically thinking of the boat and the bridge. I would've expected another crafty angle in there with the right set of choices, you could've made it out of those situations with far less lives lost. Overall, I'm glad to have shared part of my time in the last decade with this array of characters and especially Clem....a true definition of a classic videogame heroine. On average each season was about 10 hours so 40 hours for the core of this story is pretty fantastic and is a superb value if you like this type of thing. In videogaming (and specifically adventuregaming ), Telltale serves a very unique role for having so many A-/A+ classics. As of 2026, it's great to know that LCG Entertainment exists and can use the Telltale name. Last year I finished all of the Batman seasons which were phenominal. Next up is Expanse whilist we all prepare ourselves for The Wolf Among Us 2!!!!!!
This is the best game you will ever buy this make you see games differently and the story is the best story ever. Lee is the MVP.
lord knows how many hours it takes to get ALL the endings in the telltale definitive series omg.........im done with only one playthrough and that took 50 hours in total.....sure maybe i looked at some extra details for way to long but still. ANYWHO I LOVE THIS STORY SO MUCHHH this game IS worth every penny, especially because it basically has 5 games in one!!! and 4 of them can connect!!!!!! (yes i say 4 because i still have not played The Walking Dead Michonne episodes)
no comment, just play it.
