Reviews
Does not teach you how to play, does not tell you how to fix things going wrong, staff constantly want raises, camera movement feels bad, and the whole UI is clunky and unintuitive. Despite maps being themed, the game seems uninterested in helping you keep it on theme, and researched items don't even have pre-made structures. You have to build every floor, wall, and decoration for each building and change the colors on everything if you want it to match the theme. Also had to turn off the shadows because they're glitchy AF Overall, it fails to match games that came 15 years before it, let alone improve them. I'd take 1999's Theme Park World over this game any day and it has just about everything this game does. Maybe the second one fixes a lot of the issues, idk, and I probably won't find out; I'm just working my way through my backlog 😂
Planet Coaster is one of those games where you sit down to build a single ride and suddenly lose an entire evening. The coaster creation tools are insanely satisfying, while the management side stays chill enough to never feel stressful. Half the fun is designing a beautiful theme park, and the other half is watching your terrible path layout create complete guest chaos. Creative, relaxing, and dangerously addictive.
An absolute blast. Highly recommended game. Build coasters and then go for a ride in them. Been playing the game since 2016. Still fun in 2026.
It felt incomplete when I picked it up at release so I waited to play a bit more, but it is still incomplete in 2026. Very few themes or blueprints in the base game unlike RTC - I imagine this would be fixed by purchasing the DLC's but that would increase the price point by $100.
Not bad at all. Planet Coaster 6/10 Heisen
Completely overwhelming. No in-game tutorial
