(Editor) Now with this detailed foreword I don't have much left to report. I played it through once in three quarters of an hour. I am very impressed with this little game. Everything is really good here, even though the drawings don't even remotely come close to the quality of comparable Asian games. However, the text quality is significantly better. The content is outstanding for today's video game world. Funny, bizarre and exciting against the backdrop of a world that probably no one wants. A bitter blow is now coming to my readers all over the world, exclusively in German. I have to write so often, only in English, this time it's the other way around. Since it is a text-based game, you need a good knowledge of our language. For the lazy ones among you, all the lyrics are set to music and very well. Du durchstreifst ein verlassenes Shopping-Center auf der Suche nach Weihnachtsgeschenken und einem vergessenen Rentierschlitten. (Herausgeber) Nun bei diesem Ausführlichen Vorwort bleibt mir nicht viel zu Berichten. Ich habe es einmal durchgespielt in einer dreiviertel Stunde. Ich bin sehr beeindruckt über dieses kleine Spiel. Hier ist wirklich alles gut, wenngleich die Zeichnungen nicht im entferntesten an die Qualität von asiatischen vergleichbaren Spielen heran kommt. Dafür ist die Textqualität jedoch deutlich besser. Der Inhalt ist herausragend für die heutige Videospiele -Welt. Lustig, skurril und spannend vor dem Hintergrund einer Welt die sich vermutlich keiner wünscht. Für meine Leser überall in der Welt kommt nun ein herber Schlag, ausschließlich in Deutsch. Ich muß so oft schreiben, nur in Englisch, diesmal ist es anders herum. Da es ein Textbasiertes Spiel ist braucht man jedoch gute Kenntnisse unserer Sprache. Für die Faulen unter euch, alle Texte sind vertont und zwar sehr gut. Für die Archievement Hunter, ihr müsst das Spiel sieben Mal durchspielen. So etwa drei Stunden dauert das dann. Super klare Empfehlung. Was jedoch auffallend schlecht ist ist die Sprachausgabe. Da haben sich wohl die Entwickler selbst hingesetzt und Texte eingesprochen. Für den einen vielleicht charmant, für mich eher... unangenehm. Betonungen sind schlecht gesetzt und entweder unterbetont oder überbetont. Erinnert leicht an so Vorlese-Wettbewerbe aus der Schule. Da hilft auch ein gutes, technisches Equipment nicht. Die Aufnahmen sind an sich technisch einwandfrei. Zu guter Letzt ist die Sprachspur dann noch viel zu leise. Und als bittere Kirsche auf der Torte zündete dann nicht mal der Humor. Mag vielleicht daran liegen, dass es nicht meine Art Humor getroffen hat, oder das es generell nicht lustig ist. Das kann ich aber nicht beurteilen. Hab das Ding nach guten 25 Minuten refunded. Konnte mir das mit den Sprechern einfach nicht geben. War zu unangenehm. Sorry, liebe Entwickler. Ich meine das nicht böse. Ehrlich.

Haven't gotten all the endings yet, but I thought this deserved a thumbs up for being something a bit different. It's more of a gamebook than a visual novel, with many choices and lots of descriptions but minimal visuals. There are dice rolls, but for most (maybe all?) of them, you can either randomize the result or choose to pass or fail automatically, allowing you to easily explore all the available options. While there are moments of action and absurdist humor, I kind of liked the low-key, down to earth vibe of the story. Just a normal family trying to have a normal Christmas in a zombie apocalypse, you know? The game is only available in German and is fully voiced, including the narration (which makes up the bulk of the voice acting, actually). The recording quality isn't the best, but it's always cool to see a VN with voice acting in a language other than Japanese or English. My German's far too rusty to read this without help. Still, I'd recommend it to English speakers if you have a bit of patience.

Shopping in a Winter Zombieland ist wirklich ein sehr sympathisches Game :3 Man merkt, dass es ein Herzensprojekt ist und es ist so süß und witzig geschrieben. Es gibt viel zu entdecken, mehrere Enden und wenige, aber dafür atmosphärische Szenen. Das Vorlesen kann man muten, allerdings fand ich gerade dies so angenehm authentisch^^ Ich habe einen Durchlauf fertig und über eine Stunde Spielzeit. Für 2 Taler ne absolute Empfehlung =)

Ein schönes kleines und feines Game. Man merkt, dass die Entwickler Spaß an der Erstellung des Spiels hatten. Es gibt tolle Easter Eggs zu finden und interessante Glückskekse. Das sind keine gewöhnlichen Glückskekse, sondern welche in die sogar eine Feuerwehraxt hineinpasst. Das Spiel ist insgesamt sehr wholesome und spannend. Supernice!
