After playing again both games (back to back) I can honestly say that I prefer the first one. Weapons and animations are better in the 2nd but the levels on the 1st one were more interesting. I also got bored fighting the same Boss 4 times with various upgrades. The 1st one I finished NG+ but on the 2nd I don't feel the urge to go through again. The combat I love but the 2nd felt much easier.. I would really love to see a 3rd installment with some more variety in enemies and more bosses.
