The Sum of All Fears

Pros: Classic. Cons: Only good for nostalgia gaming. Requires No-CD crack v1.1.1 in order to function (otherwise game will not launch). AI is dumb, Only 11 missions (2 hours of gameplay on easy difficulty), No community mods to be found anywhere unfortunately. Have not tried using original Ghost Recon mods on this (same game engine).

A little rough around the edges compared to Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six but still a great mission pack. it's basically dlc for the original Ghost Recon and plays exactly like it with a CQB focus. You will need a fix as mentioned by others in order to play.

It's a cute little fun game. If you like SWAT 3 you'd like this. It's basically SWAT 3 but just a stealth version. It's pretty short of a game though so I would say buy it at a low price. The .exe provided by steam is corrupted so you have to find one by anyone who is sharing their working one online, it isn't hard to find but obviously be careful when downloading from other people. Other than that issue, it's a great game if you are in to that older type of SWAT/Tom Clancy's gameplay.

Enemy stunlock when getting shot is annoying, but if you have played every Rainbow Six game and really want to play a similar game, this game is worth it. Super fun even though you can beat the whole game in an hour or two. Don't buy the game if you don't want to have to deal with the error code 85 though the fix is super straight forward.

The Worst Game of all Time It's like they gave up half way through development and just said screw it They managed to take everything great about Ghost Recon 1 and remove it from this game. It feels like they ported a PS2 shooter to PC. It's not Ghost Recon 1 and its not Rainbow Six 1. It's the illegitimate bastard child no one asked for. Graphics: 8/10 Gameplay: 2/10 Enemy AI: 3/10 Team AI: 1/10 Fun Factor: 2/10 Story: 0/10 Gun Crosshair: 0/10 - It's Huge. Can't resize it at all Pros: The mission briefing interface Cons: Everything else No team strategy whatsoever. Team mates are just chickens running around getting killed. Cant tell them where to go like in Ghost Recon. They get killed almost every time The story is the same commie garbage propaganda just like all other Tom Clancy games and novels. At least with GR1 and RS1 the games are actually good. Even at its best the game is underwhelming and boring. The action is not fun and feels like a chore to make it through each mission. I see why it went under everyones radar years ago. You're here because you love Ghost Recon 1 and Rainbow Six 1. You will be dissapointed with this. If you are curious enough to buy it just to see then go ahead. But maybe saving your ten bucks is a better idea. It's a shame because I wanted to like it. Still play GR1 and RS1 often. Those are classics that stand the test of time. This game is the opposite of what makes those games all time greats.

I do not recommend this game. Reason: the game has no DRM, does not work on Windows 10 Pro or 11, and is not supported by Steam. I tried contacting Steam support, but I had to go directly to my profile. Super short but I loved this game! Being a huge fan of OG Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games, this was great. The difference being being able to run and gun without much pre-mission planning was cool. Like Ghost Recon arcade mode, lol. Definitely worth playing. Just wish I could have some more!

The executable available on steam is broken, but you can find fixed ones in the games forums. This game is a wonderful little hidden gem. If you like Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon at all this will tickle you. It's very stripped down compared to those; there's no planning phase to start and has Ghost Recon style loadouts with no options for armour or attachments, and is startlingly linear for what it is, but it down to its core is still a Tom Clancy game, for better and worse. Grab it on a sale and have a good time. It natively supports up to 4k resolutions (possibly higher, I just can't test higher than that), runs great with no tweaking (though you will likely want to download a mod to tweak the FOV) and LAN works perfectly if you want to play co-op or multiplayer. Overall, a surprisingly solid entry in the broader Tom Clancy family of games.

Recommended if purchased on sale. Did however ran into a steam error code 51. Found a solution https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1563235234 just follow Samz directions in the comments. Then run the SOAF.exe as administrator. Game runs identically to Ghost Recon with a few changes. Play the game on a difficulty besides easy. As easy difficulty is easier than Ghost Recon easy difficulty. I found Ghost Recon easy level fairly difficult. Recommend to then use quick save so you can progress through the game at a good pace. However the game is fairly short to play.
