It's 2016. Explore through your house in the middle of the night and complete your chores before the water you put on the stove starts boiling. Sounds easy, right? If only you hadn't said things you would soon regret.

About

It's 2016. You find yourself in the middle of the night contemplating what a messy year it was.
Things changed.
Or maybe, you're the one who changed?
It really doesn't matter anyway.
All you gotta do now is grab a pot, fill it with water, turn on the stove, and wait. You gotta eat something before going to bed.
And in the meantime, why not do some house chores? I'm sure mom is going to be proud.
...
If only-
If only you hadn't said things. Certain things. Things you didn't really mean. Then maybe, just maybe.
You wouldn't have company this night.

Moody, dark environment.
Immersive, low fidelity (low bit rate and crispy!) sound design.
(so) RETRO graphics and true low-res.
Slightly randomized tasks every run. (Just different combinations, really!)
6 additional difficulty modes to be unlocked!
Short duration (20-30 minutes per run).

Grab a pot, fill it with water, turn on the stove and wait. Wait until it starts boiling.
Complete house chores, go for a walk. The water will boil faster when you're not looking at it.
Pay attention to your sanity. You don't want it to get too low.
If you have a visitor, don't worry. He can't physically hurt you. Just close your eyes near the burning stove and breathe. It's all in your mind.
Just don't stay with your eyes closed for too long.

Trial and error is key.
Pay attention to your surroundings, to your environment.
Finish your chores. Prove them wrong.

Water Boiling Simulator is a simple horror game where you just take items from point A to B multiple times, close windows to not let the spooky dude in, and meditate at boiling water to calm your nerves. It has a nice design & soundtrack but I wasn't interested enough to retry the other modes tho. If you like the water boiling then this game is for you https://youtu.be/LzbQtuw9JKc
this game is the definition of peak play it NOW i would pay a lot more money for this game (please don't raise the price though)
An enjoyable and even somewhat unique horror game. It's short, but that's not bad. it doesn't feel like, "That's it?". I liked the atmosphere and some creepy moments
(like when you open your eyes and there's a monster standing behind you)
I liked the story (although I would like it not to be open-ended).
Good ambience, felt a bit of dread until I saw that the monster just pops out of existence and doesn't really do anything to you. No real jumpscares unfortunately. Nice UI and pixel animations. Story is pretty vague and I don't really understand what happened. And unfortunately, the game crashed right after I finished the chores.
Me when I take too much teenage anxiety and I see the Boiled Man EDIT: I recommended this game originally, but since playing the 2nd difficulty mode, I've run into a reoccuring bug where, just after every item is placed and I walk up the basement stairs into the living room, the game crashes. Has happened twice and consistently, so I'm not sure I can recommend it. Also, I kept getting damaged randomly all over the place and I couldn't figure out what was doing it, so Im not sure I can recommend this at the moment.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eng version Water Boiling Simulator. In short, for a modest 82 rubles—about the price of two packs of Kiriyeshki—the game offers a thrilling experience, engaging gameplay, and a solid experience. The game is as simple as pie: just walk around and do your chores while the water boils. But this simplicity underlies the gameplay. A local uncle Bogdan (Russian memes) will follow you around the house, watching, scaring you, and making you feel uncomfortable. He occupies the darkest corners, watches from afar, waits around the corner, in general, does everything to make you change your mind about doing your business. He spawns where you least expect him, and at first, you'll check every nook and cranny to find him. It's clear that over time you'll become less afraid. It's the same story as FNAF, but even so, you might encounter spawns you completely didn't expect, which can make you jump and get scared. Uncle Bogdan is able to create an atmosphere. The ambient music in the game, although simple, complements the atmosphere of the game very well. The sounds of Uncle Bogdan walking around the house, of him breathing in a dark corner, of windows opening. All this just adds to the atmosphere. There's not much of a plot; it's all introduced by the introductory cutscene on the first night, and then, as far as I understand, one of seven randomly triggered endings. It doesn't depend on you what happens to you, it's just a matter of luck. The endings are simply conversations in a messenger, and it’s not that interesting to read and get acquainted with them. The levels don't differ gameplay-wise. The same house, often the same actions. Only two or three things around the house change. The only difference is in the complications between each night. There are only 5 nights. With each subsequent night, the difficulties accumulate, so the game doesn't have time to get boring. What the game lacks: I think Uncle Bogdan could be more mystical. It can't be said that he is an understandable guy in himself. I'm talking more about his behavior. There are plenty of places in the game where you expect him to appear, and where he would really shine in all his glory. Well, I have nothing else bad to say about the game. And even the minus that I highlighted is not a minus as such. More like just what I would like, without any negativity towards the game.
SOOO PEAK ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! im an absolute sucker for short retro/pixelated horrors like these, so this hit the spot. jumpscares got me every time, and the build in tension is perfect. scariest thing is the mc having an entire pot of boiled water for dinner though.. but each to their own
Unironically really great little horror game. Made me piss myself (I boiled it so it wasn't wasted).
I wanted to give this game a positive review so bad, but it crashed right before beating it. First I thought is was some sort of 4th wall break, but nah instead I need to start from the beginning again. It's worth the money but my experience with it just wasn't that great
