About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

Such a core feature and they cant get it right.. Il update this if i ever finish the game but so far, and in this state for that price.. Don't buy it best hope for a redeem update like cyberpunk got..
Fatal Error! The UE-Arkansas Game has crashed and will close.
Great game, had a lot of fun playing through this great and funny game by Obsidian well worth the time and money
This game is very Outer Worlds
This game is actually very awesome. Microsoft did its best to kill it with a ridiculous price tag and I feel bad for Obsidian. This game, and Obsidian, deserve a lot of love. Better than the first one in several ways, and the mechanics have been tweaked (positive). If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. If you didn't like the first one but enjoy these types of games, give it a shot--I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Плохая рпг, скорее неплохой шутер. Все аспекты игры улучшены в сравнение с 1 частью, но этого мало. Брать только по скидке, 6/10
Muy buen juego.
I started this game after a full complete refresher playthrough of Outerworld 1. I will say that this is far far from Outerspace 1 so if you're expecting that style of game. This might not be for you or at the least you might not enjoy this as much.(I highly recommend only getting this on sale.) It feels like they got devs from Microsoft who wanted this to be more of a "standard action RPG". It just doesn't feel like what you're expecting from this series or something akin to Fallout/Skyrim. It's got this air of... "This is a linear action shooter rpg game" but we put in dialog and some lite Outerworlds 1 style elements. I don't recommend playing Super Hard for basically anyone. It's a massive waste of your time and well being for an achievement. If you want to enjoy this game to it's maximum do Normal or Hard and most. Here was my key points I wrote down from my first playthrough. > Scaling on super hard is beyond what it should be. It's a TERRIBLE boring slog designated around specific challenge builds. > Melee stealth is great! The finishers are nice but stupidly punished by martyr style enemies that drop poison you can't easily heal at the very beginning of the game. So if you're not doing a no credit run or something just use guns. Also they added a block function to melee but you'll almost NEVER use it because 90% of people in this game carry a gun and rightly so. > Factions feel external to your personal crew. You spend all your time gathering these people to convince them their origin faction is pretty terrible. You never feel close to any of them really they're just with you to save their skins. > The ship doesn't feel as organized. I can't explain this but it just feels... off. Maybe it's the fact you don't have to use inventories on the ship if you don't want to. You have infinite inventory so using a container is mostly pointless other than to larp. > Graphics, animation, and sound design, are fantastic. Who did they get for this? The animations for the single hand blade alone is incredible. I spent so much time just holding the charge attack to see that knife flip. > Movement was improved. They really added to the verticality and fluidity of transversing the map. (Although the maps are so big you begin to get really tired of running sooo slowly.) > Options feel limited by linear storyline. This game feels like Mass Effect 3. Yeah you can change elements of the story and such but like none of it really matters and you can't align yourself to make massively different outcomes. It all ends fairly the same. I never felt like I had the freedom to align myself with any faction in particular... you can do things that vaguely help a faction more but can you join the bad guys? No. Can you idk align with just say "Auntie's choice"? Not really... sure if it's against the sort of "evil faction" you can kind of help them but you never feel like you're apart of THAT group. You're always an outsider because of the linear main story. > Open areas are nicely stylized but overly big feeling. Like Fallout 3 but not in a good way. It's nice looking but after a while you'll get tired of how long it takes to get from point to point. > Inventory management is bad. They removed the need for any storage you have infinite carrying so unless you don't like the look you have zero reason to remove anything from your inventory. The menu's are also just ugly imo? Might just be a me thing. > Crafting didn't need to be in this. It's cool for customizations to your gear and teammates but otherwise just plain out tedium to fuel this press "E" to pick up everything game. Also why is finding recipes for basic ammo so difficult and not a basic sold item in every shop? To better aid in making the higher difficulities a talking and walking sim? I don't get it. > Weight removal was nice but I miss durability. Nothing feels personal in this game. I carry around various suits of armor but their effects are slight and honestly feel like just "unlockables." It's hard to describe... Your customizations are limited and feel pretty bad. You don't have to maintain your gear so you never need to look it much. If you wear an armor set it doesn't effect dialogs from what I've seen so you can't do anything interesting with it. A lot of it I also found ugly... most of the time you use the one armor set through the whole game or most of it any just forget about it completely. > Map/Quest markers are hit and miss and weird. The game will "hint" at missions or tasks vaguely sometimes but gives you nothing to go on. They added this "mentioned" thing to the quests section but it's sometimes so vague you just decide "I don't care" and forget about it by the time it becomes nessacary. Other times it can be neat... you over hear a commander who lost some men and you free them at a later enemy camp and you think ohhh that's cool but then it doesn't mention you have to escort them all the way back and later when you visit the commander they're all still at the camp. Like... ffs.
MY CONCLUSION
I wish this game was more like the prior game. It's a fine game... but if someone asked me for a game in this style to play? I'd point at Fallout New Vegas or Cyberpunk or even the first game but this would be low on my list of games in this genre. I think this game has massive potential at its core but needs a lot of rethinking and adjustments to be truly amazing or well... worth the price of a premium game of this genre.
