About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

Fun game. What lowered the potential was the companions being left wanting. Very annoying female characters are overwhelming the entire game. Their voices were like nails on a chalkboard. Nothing like a bunch of frumpy spinsters with no character piping noise into your brain incessantly. Even the robot had a female voice. The male characters were just short of being outright gay.
PROs - little to no issues playing on my PC on HIGH setting - fun maps to explore - a lot of looting - occasionally interesting characters - narrative voice quality - fast travel capabilities (mind the elevators!) - companions where fun to travel with (certain companions for certain faction-quests) - puzzles where a fun challenge CONs - lore is hard to follow / not a lot of time spent teaching players the backstory of each of the factions - game immersion was low - can't turn off Auntie's voice when visiting the Undisputed Claim - bounty terminals had too few bounties - reliance on Speech skill to progress through select dialogue (need Speech 7 for endgame, fyi) - no clear way to know if buying a weapon mod will actually be usable with a weapon in your inventory NEUTRAL - combat - earning money - "the earth directorate found a new flaw in you!" ( I rejected every single one of these, lol) - would have loved to see more unique creatures - would have loved to see the main planetary locations (Golden Ridge, Paradise Island, Cloister, etc.) have SIGNIFICANTLY more exploration areas. OVERALL - would recommend, would not play again - game picks up after you complete the first few quests / reach level 10 (if someone has less than 20 hours played, take it with a grain of salt)
Is okay game. Story is alright. I think for the prices is bit much. I really like the look overall. Wish there was option to change or update ship. Anyone interesting getting this game buy it when there a discount.
Un RPG compétent, mais qui semble avoir davantage mis l'accent sur ses systèmes de jeu que sur ce qui avait rendu son prédécesseur attachant aux yeux de certains joueurs.
Not a bad game but the flaws make the game ultimatley fall flat. Super anti climactic ending which sucks because the story already starts to fall off in the second half. Not a bad game but would give it 6-7/10. Still also didn't fix many issues with the first game but it did expand on some mechanics which made this game more engaging.
还挺好玩的
i liked it pretty good first one is better in terms of the amount of choices you can do i believe also love the connection in one of the quest you do a animated episode of outer worlds i watch all in all great if your a fan but if not get it on sale
tl;dr Great entry in RPG Action-adventure, very polished, but falls short on enjoyment with some game mechanics. Who is this for If RPG action-adventures are your thing, you enjoy corny humor - this is one of the must-plays. Not necessarily if you enjoyed the first game however...more on that later. If you know Obsidian, you know what you are in for here. The good Decisions matter. I encountered no bugs that I can remember and had no crashes. Quite decent face animations. Very rich worldbuilding. You get rewarded for exploration either with dialogue choices or just pure loot. You can explore the whole map before going to main area for quests and just hand in the quests and say you have done that already. Mostly. Some humor actually made me lol unexpectedly. Most problems can be solved either stealthily or going in guns blazing. Tons of replay value. Can easily be played with a controller. The dealbreakers Missing some quality of life features. Like respec has been pretty much removed. You might like it tho, developers clearly did that on purpose, but personally I do not like it don't think it's good. Can't join the main antagonist faction. Most armor sets feel worthless. Can be a good thing if you just want to look cool because you can just ignore the armor stats. There will be no Outer Worlds 3 sadly. Overall universe story is left on a cliffhanger due to that. Comparison to first game I played the first game for first time quite recently, just this year. I had the expansions on the first game as well. So, it's the same universe, same-ish skill system and guns, but it all feels very different. On the second game the devs have decided to take away your respec option and take away ability to use companions for skill boosts. Even armor does not boost your skills. This makes the game a bit more grounded but personally I get much less satisfaction from playing because of that. It's really irritating that there are things that you can't ever do because your skillpoints are limited and you never took Engineering or Hacking and have to stick to maybe just 3 skills. Because of that, just because you enjoyed the first game, does not mean that you will enjoy the second one as well. You can still add mods to it that will emulate the experience to be closer to the first game. Otherwise the second game has indeed improved in almost everything from the first. Maybe not the silliness. Amount of content thou - I heard people saying that second game has much more content, but spent almost exactly the same amount of time to finish the second game as I did for the first one. Granted the first one had 2 massive DLCs, but what I mean there is not that much more content in second game. Is the price right? Yes. It's a full on RPG game with 40 to 80 hours of content (100% achievements discounted) and to me it seemed very well polished. I did get it on discount for 42 eurodollars, but that just happened to be there and after finishing first game I would have been ready to pay full price for it and not regret it.
Do i recommend it? Yes, but not for full price. Wait for 20-30% sale. The game is good. If rating only first 10-15h then it is a solid 7 but later it is a solid 6. So lets say 6,5. For this price it is not enough. Shooting feels good, combat feels good, exploration feels good. But it is missing something original. Companions are there, they are fun and all but are not unique. Some mission surprised me but were mostly predictable. Ending? Not good. But i guess there will be more to come, but if they gave a bit more info about "the interesting thing" then it would be better. Ah, the performance. Bad. But I blame that partialy on my spare CPU. Overall, wait for sale and play it. You wont find better rpg shooter in the new games.
