About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

I would like to say first off that this game is not worth the full price. I bought it on sale (50% off) and that was worth it in my opinion. I got the value out of the purchase price. Things I liked: - The game is in every way better than the previous game. The combat, the perk system, the story, the environments, everything is a step up. - Characterization in the world was good, world building put a lot out there and I think they did well with fleshing out the universe a lot more than the first game. - Environments are great looking. Some issues I had: - The game beats the capitalist thing to death. TO DEATH. It seems like 40% of the dialogue in this game has someone bringing up marketing or ads. It gets real thin, real fast. - While combat is fun, it gets pretty easy about 50% of the way through the game. I played the game on hard. - At the end of the day, the game came off as fairly generic. It had all of the trappings of an ARPG, but didn't do anything to really set itself aside from the pack. I am still recommending this game because if you like Obsidian games, RPGs with action combat in general you will have a good time. Not every game needs to be a zinger to be enjoyable. 7/10.
Boring and unengaging story line.
If you liked the 1st game then this will be good for you also. Same strange guns and armor, funny bits and an intersting story. I didnt hit any bugs, and had fun for my 50hr start to finish. Dont see too much replay since you know all the locations and whats what. I would say get it on special and you wont regret it.

I do not understand how something can be as bland and uninspired as The Outer Worlds 2. A blank canvas or a UE5 slop game made in 2 days have more going on. They managed to create the most boring and pointless universe, populated with boring humans and nothing else.
Story = 5/5 Gameplay = 5/5 Combat = 4/5 Graphics = 4/5 Dialog = 5/5 Voice Acting = 5/5 I would pay $80 for this game.
This game scratched the itch left behind by the Fallout games. 10/10
Have I enjoyed this game? yes. is it as good as the first game ABSOLUTLY NOT there are way fewer choices which is what made the first game so great and they dumbed down the companion system significantly, I was thinking when I went in well there were a lot of naysayers for the first game so the second game is probably the same or similar in that regard and I ignored the somewhat mixed reviews but so far it has failed to meet the standard by quite a lot that the first game set I will update the review upon completion of the game just in case it gets any better but unfortunately I highly doubt it
Not nearly as fun as the first game. It doesn't lead you anywhere. Just a lot of spread-out locations, and no indication of where you are going. Definitely a no buy.
Mittelmass!
