About
“There were myriads of good reasons for shunning the nameless city, one for each strange tale passed from generation to generation.
Tales averted people from entering the city, even from getting closer to its walls, and legends say that it was older than the eldest of the pyramids; few say it was older than humanity itself. But there was no legend so old as to give it a name.”
The Nameless City is a narrative-driven first person adventure inspired by Lovecraft's short novel of the same name. It has lo-fi 3D graphics inspired by the PSX era.
A playthrough should take about 50 minutes. The game has some light puzzle elements, but the main focus of the game is exploring the ruins of the ancient city. You can save your progress and continue later, but it's recommended to play it in one sitting.

fundamentally understands lovecraft in a way very few games do. short but sweet and incredibly atmospheric.
A very cool little game, especially if you are into Lovecraft. About an hour of gameplay, which may seem short but this is based on a short story so I appreciate that nothing was added. If you are familiar with Lovecraft or weird fiction in general, I think you will find this to be very in-line with the themes of the genre. A feeling of dread, a place best left forgotten. Very atmospheric, no enemies or jump scares. The low poly graphics are actually an interesting touch, but they could be a little disorienting at times. Also really appreciate the devs removing old genAI assets and their stance on AI in general.
A short walking simulator that captures Lovecraftian elements very well.
Very short but well made horror game. Enjoyed its slow build up and pleasant voice action.
Feels like I just played a Lovecraft novel...which I think was the point so good job!
Pretty true-to story adaption of the Lovecraft book, some tensions as you rush between puzzles losing sanity but is recoverable. I'd say get it on sale, you won't have much replay value 3-5$ makes sense
The Nameless City is a Lovecraftian walking simulator with occasional bits of very light puzzle-solving, lasting under an hour. It's the kind of game that's more about the atmosphere than the gameplay, and it works well enough as far as it goes, but personally I would have liked more to do. At its best it gave me glimmers of Eternal Darkness, and I'd like to see more game added to the idea.
That was truly uncomfortable. The true 21st century successor of Lovecraft's depths. It's the full short story in the form of a modernesque MS-DOS title. This form gave the story the total atmosphere that will take the character's sanity as well as the player. As the character progresses, you will join him in giving your mind over to the Dagon and it's follower minions below the sea. I give this Koth/5 Fish bits.
A fantastic little Lovecraftian game. I hope the devs expand on this in the future, be cause the atmosphere/vibe was amazing.
