On my first playthrough, I initially struggled with a few puzzles. However, once I realized the importance of sound, everything clicked into place. The game's incredible atmosphere and the emotions it evoked were so captivating that I immediately played it a second time.
Meu livro favorito de Lovecraft
It felt like one of the stories of H.P. himself. At first i struggled with the second puzzle, after a few inspections i noticed the hints. Amazing atmosphere, a bit trippy and slight horror! Definitely will play this again!
The Dyer Expedition is a puzzle heavy game that was overall interesting I suppose. Most of the puzzles were easy to understand but that sound one was the most confusing to me so I cheated lol. The game is under an hour long as well and has nice game & sound design. I feel like it is pricey though considering how short it is but I would say its an alright game overall. Didn't feel too much tension playing the game since my mind was getting too crispy on the whale sound puzzle tho https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIl4RssUDAI
Atmospheric game, the puzzles aren't very easy some times you need to remember things from the previous areas (they also close some of those off so you can't go back. From what i understand very short but the start of the game that i played was satisfying. First look here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYcyOlwNPQ4
Best parts -Good puzzles -cool level designs -music/Atmosphere - Solid references to the source material Worst parts -Too short I need more!
🧊 Dyer Expedition
Giudizio: discretamente positivo — breve, atmosferico, particolare. Da prendere sapendo esattamente cosa offre.
🇬🇧 English Review

🧊 Dyer Expedition
Dyer Expedition feels like a frozen fragment of Antarctica trapped inside a videogame: cold, silent and relentlessly hostile. In just about an hour, you'll wander through abandoned outposts, forgotten scientific equipment frozen in time, and a mystery that never screams—it only whispers, just as Lovecraft would have wanted. The game's greatest strength is its atmosphere: a cold that is not merely physical, but psychological. Every step feels like you're getting closer to something mankind was never meant to uncover. Its deliberately minimalist pixel art becomes a powerful filter, reinforcing the feeling of standing before an ancient secret that remains completely indifferent to humanity. The puzzles are original, though not always intuitive. Some rely more on interpretation than pure logic, almost as if they were designed to recreate the methodical madness of a Lovecraftian expedition. They work, but they can occasionally interrupt the pacing if you fail to tune into their particular way of thinking. And here lies the key point: for a game lasting roughly one hour, and carrying a price that isn't exactly symbolic, Dyer Expedition is an experience worth considering carefully. It's a short journey, not an odyssey. An interactive tale, not a game meant to occupy dozens of hours. However, if you're looking for a concentrated dose of cosmic horror—a brief glimpse beyond the limits of human knowledge—this expedition is absolutely worth taking. It probably won't change your life, but it will leave behind that elegant, lingering sense of unease that only Lovecraft can truly evoke. Verdict: Moderately Recommended — short, atmospheric and distinctive. Buy it knowing exactly what kind of experience it offers.
At the Mountains of Madness is one of my favorite Lovecraft stories. As such, I gave this game a chance. I really wanted to like it, but the game is just way too short and very little on story. Don't get me wrong, despite the '90s style graphics Antarctica is certainly atmospheric and the visuals are surreal once you enter the caves. I know this was made by a VERY small team, but I'll be honest here. Even at the pretty cheap price tag I can't recommend it unless it's at a steep discount.
The style and puzzles were nice. It's not a long game but it is about the right length for what it is. I would rate it highly for a game that adapts H.P. Lovecraft's "Mountains of Madness"
