Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 31 → 6.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i rage quit at the demon boss.. but the thing is i wanted to complain the game was too easy before this boss. i guess i could perservere and pass it, but after reading how others critisised the way the game gets worse after this boss, made me feel its not worth the effort, since i already feel the game feels a bit bland up to this point (with exception of the bosses). i cant quite put my finger on why it feels bland.. but one thing i can say is it lacks an adventure feel. instead its focused toward this new age parkhour pinball style gameplay that i hate so badly. part reason why i rage quit at the demon boss because they take the floor away and you have to parkhour bounce pinball float in the air... ugh sorry that garbage is not for me. and its a retro themed art, i would have expected retro style play mechanics. the other thing i found off putting was how far away everything feels. the characters are way too small and the visible real estate also suffers this issue, and its exagerated by the wide screen aspect ratio which makes everything feel empty. it could be vastly improved if it was zoomed in a little and have a 4:3 aspect ratio to tighten the action in somewhat. as it stands i can only rate it around 5/10 overall, and i would have made it lower if it wasnt for the boss fights which are actually very well done

很值得评价的游戏,创意和故事都很惊艳,也做到了轻拿轻放,非常推荐去玩。
The Messenger is one of those games that would have been extraordinarily cool if they'd either taken the premise to the actual end of it or if they had ended the game three hours earlier...but they didn't, so I was super happy with the first half and the second half often felt like feeding my hand into a paper shredder. FWIW, there's some really cool mechanics at play here with traversing through "time" (from 8 bit to 16 bit) and some platforming that goes from "really easy and kind of uninspired" to "maybe not best in class but knocking on that door." Sound is totally passable, no voice acting. The story is underbaked, but the obvious love and charm that went into making this game shine through, making it a lot of fun to get through the first half, which is a lot more like early 8 bit/16 bit Nintendo games. But once you get to the second half and the "metroidvania" section sets in, it genuinely goes from a 4 star game to a 2 star game - it loses most of the charm and humor, the metroidvania section feels bad, there's like four "final bosses" that on every one of them, it feels like a movie where the director just can't say "The End." There's a lot of really cool ideas and charm and love that obviously went into the making of this and if you're looking for a cool (and pretty short) platformer, I would recommend this. But if you're looking for story, if you're looking for a good metroidvania, or even if the "ninja" imagery made you think this might be a Ninja Gaiden/Shinobi clone, this isn't it. Highly recommended for fans of the platforming genre, but outside of that, only recommended for everyone else on a deep sale.
