The Guild 3 is a fascinating trade and life simulation that takes place during the late Middle Ages. Step into the shoes of a citizen, acquire businesses and mansions, produce goods and trade them, start intrigues in politics and society, love, hate, bribe, fight and live through good and bad times!

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 8 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game gets way too much hate, it has none of the charm of the Guild 2, but it is also not terrible, for once I like the fact I can play an entire playthrough without it CTDing. The whole game feels emptier like there is less to do and less quirky and funny things to look at while playing. it might be the modern clean interface, it might just be that Versengold is not coming to play at your tavern. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAsBbXVOCoc I really can't complain about the changes they made to the rpg elements, i appreciate being able to specialize in different trees without having to have characters from a specific path. It is also nice to be able to adopt a child right away so I can avoid the whole courting interaction which for me only detracted from the experience in the old game. Another welcome addition is now having to send your family members off into trade ventures to open up certain trade routes around the map, that is just a really good idea. Natural resources(Mines, Forestries...) have to be leased now which in theory sounds great but is actually a pain in the ass most of the time because you need to check every day before 12 o'clock if you are still winning every auction. Politics have been streamlined into a single static political structure per map instead of having different cities which eventually can increase in size and thus develop a more complex political landscape like we were used to. You can no longer recruit workers at different skill levels, now they are generated for you. This is extremely annoying with transports because you can't just hire a guy with a carriage you have to recruit a random guy that will first need to level up. Then when he has level 4 you have to go to the market with him and only then can you buy a carriage for him to ride around. Now do this for every single transport, it is a chore. In the Guild 2 most buildings could be improved into bigger versions and in this game most have no improvement and are restricted to only villages or cities. At times the interface shows lack of love in that elements clip over other elements and you can't see the options clearly, some buttons are extremely small and others like the drag and drop button to delete items are comically large. If this game had had mod support and was priced at less than 30 euros it would have been a hit with a great following. It deeply needs content, modders or dlc could have been the solution but whoever was in charge of this project dropped the ball here and others capitalized. City Skylines and Banished come to mind. In 2026 I would recommend you look into Saelig if you want a game like The Guild 2 which unlike this game, is full of soul. If you want to go more into the city building aspect then you also have plenty of options around for way better value than this.

Dead game, unfinished.
This game is an abandoned money grab. A complete sham of a promise. This seems to have been a money grab, and a lazy one at that. The game is barely playable, UI is horrible, and game breaking bugs prevent any meaningful progression. Promises were made to address this and three years later nothing. The developers have moved onto a new project. Would not purchase anything from this company. How this is still being sold is beyond me.
They never finished the game.. Last update 2023.. Highly not recommended.
So, I have played "The Guild" series since its inception, and while every game should stand as it's own product, this is essentially an updated version with slightly better graphics. The gameplay can become very redundant, and while you may get plenty of options to customize your playthrough, you will eventually hit the wall of redundant tasks. The UI is pretty clanky and it can be very cumbersome to management your inventory, especially as your dynasty grows, managing one inventory is not difficult, managing 11 inventories is, from clothing, to weapons, to consumables. Not a ton of options even though it may be argued that their are plenty of professions, and while the professions that are in game are divided into their own disciplines, they seem very, plain. The progression through becoming the mayor/commander/etc, is interesting and can be challenging, part of the balance of managing your businesses, your dynasty growth, and now your dynasties progression through your town or adjacent towns political hierarchy. I believe this game reminds me of the early Fable series but misses entirely on execution. While it may promise in depth gameplay, the depth of this is shallow. The series has failed to innovate and implement many features other games have. Automation on certain tasks should be available beyond leaving control of my businesses to the employees I have hired. The world doesnt advance, you are just stuck in time year after year slowly growing everything.
Get Guild2: Reneusance and Install megamod reforged. Skip this pile of refuse.
Bought Guild 3 a while Ago in a Steam sale for a few Euro but didnt really have time and motivation to look into the game especially as the Game looks super complicated on the first looks. After around 8h playtime or so now i can say the Game is not complicated at all and instead super simple and shallow. On one hand the Game gives you dozen of things you could micromanage but on the other hand its not really needed. Especially after one or two of your buildings start make money you can just build more and let everything run on auto mode, just bit of money investment need. "Wide as a ocean deep as a puddle" fits pretty perfect for the Game. Second thing is that the different professions are totally unbalanced. When you start with a Food profession its pretty much easy going and Free money but if you start with a smithing or even worse a Rogue one you have to scrape every penny to get around. Iam by no means a Developer but iam not sure if you can fix this with balancing updates because the System doesnt work at its core. In the first Guild Game you had action points, reputation and other things you needed to balance around. Here you can pretty much solve every problem the game throws at you with money.
ABANDONED. Very sad waste of money and potential
