STILL GETTING UPDATES 16 YEARS LATER This is a hidden gem. It's medieval sims with murder, politics, multiplayer and capitalism, There's nothing else like it. 11/10 must play.

A Game getting solid updates to make it playable 16 years later while also adding more content through the reforge mod is unheard of in this time of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The team working on these updates deserve praise. Gaming is so back.

RTS + RPG + Business Management + Economic Simulator + Sims + Sopranos and that still does not capture what to expect with this game. It is leagues ahead of its time and there still is no game that captures the crazy mash-up of genres. Kudos to the original developers, and major kudos to the modding community and developers who have kept the game alive for 15+ years. This game is janky, its confusing, some of the systems make little sense on the surface, but once you master businesses and making money there is an entire world of intrigue, rivalry, thuggery, and political domination to explore. Heavily recommend this game now that they are fixing a large amount of issues with multiplayer and longstanding bugs/instability. Once you feel you have mastered the base game, or if you feel the base game is not engaging enough with the general feel of the economy/other families, check out the Reforged mod (originally Fajeth's MegaModPack, now reimagined by Nauno and others). It does a lot of things I likely do not realize or understand, but the biggest part is it makes the world feel much more alive by changing how the non "player" dynasties fit into the world and makes the simulated part of the world and economy function immensely better, in turn making your place in it all the more challenging and engaging.

This game multiplayer is beyond peak its hard to explain. For $2, its the best purchase of the year. BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD BETA BRANCH + REFORGED MOD for the best experience. Find Dachi on twitch and ask about mega games for big fun. like +10 player lobbies.

One of the Greatest games ever. Was buggy as hell for several years, then the devs came back and started to rebuild the game for no reason making it better. Real chads the devs are.

This is possibly the greatest multiplayer experience with the reforged mod. Get your buddies together and watch the Role play and lore unfold as you grow your Dynasty and attempt to foil your enemies. 10/10

Даже в наше время, 2026 году, после ряда обновлений, эта игра не менее интересная чем прочие игры, в большинстве за счет своего уникального геймплея, я удивлен что спустя большое количество времени да и не думал что возможно продолжать обновлять такую древнюю игру, я рад что игра получила обновления. Если бы эта игра вышла в продажу в этом году в своем виде, я бы купил ее, тот же WoW - графика древняя, но до сих пор в нее играют

Out of nowhere they just randomly decided to start updating one of my dearest childhood games. I am not crying, you're crying.

For new players: The game is janky, rough, and overly ambitious for its time. It was made without many of the QoL features common for modern econ sims, with questionable UI decisions and annoying camera controls, for weak computers built in a bygone era. You will be frustrated, but you will HAVE FUN because it's The Guild II. Did not expect a new dev team to give updates to one of the best games ever made. Congrats on the revival!
