In the village of Hitotose, where the heroin lives, there is a cultural tradition in which every year one of the young girls who turned twenty years old is chosen to dedicate herself to the four seasons Gods of the Earth.
They called this young girl "The Chosen Maiden".
Several years before, the heroin's big sister left the village because she was Chosen.
What is she doing now?
What are exactly the Gods of the Earth?
Why there is no Chosen Maiden who comes back to the village...?
